Honestly I enjoyed the first game's system. It was simplistic, but embraced the rule of cool with special attacks (as someone who loved Valkyrie Profile, this spoke to me) and it let you focus on the story a bit more.

All they had to do was extend that system to add a bit more complexity.

I *love* the first two. It's one of those series I am such a fan of, but am not super good at. Loved the demo for 3, WILL play it when I get it.

The question is really a matter of when, but can already get it for 20% off via Humble b/c I'm a Choice sub.

Only if it came with mechanics changes for part 2. Was not a fan of how regular battles took forever.

I am concerned they're about to retroactively ruin Endgame and Tony's arc because they didn't want to use another version of Kang.

Entirely possible. It's not a perfect match, but it's pretty close for two games that are wildly difference in their systems and by different teams.

I might have to (try and) deep dive this as I enjoy both games.

These make me sad. I get *why* it happened, but it still makes me sad.

I'd love to see a rebuilt from the ground up New Vegas at this point.

I remember that being announced and it was wild. Combined with the Disney theme, it put me off of the game as a child.

Later entries had him replaced with George Newbern, the VA for Superman in all the DCAU shows/movies.

Two single player games from one company in 3 months selling millions of copies (and I wouldn't be surprised to hear MHS3 is doing pretty well too).

There's nothing wrong with that feeling. Like yeah, it's work stuff so most of us don't *really* care, but at the same time it's shitty to feel like we don't matter.

Fair. I just think there is a not insignificant number of people who just never got that far to learn that, and so mistakenly believe that it isn't there at all.

This is mostly because I think it is the ONLY game in the series to lock so much of its potential behind almost full game progression.

It did, but I think a (totally fair) criticism is that so much of that depth is locked to the final parts of the game (and post game), when it should have been unlocked so much sooner.

This is a problem they mostly fixed in XIII-2.

I am so hyped. First game was such a sleeper hit that had no right being as good as it was.

Was having a hard time figure out what to play next since the vibes felt off, and chat was able to help me out. They selected Death Stranding 2.

I loved the first game and I've been told that 2 is even better. Can't wait to catch up with Sam and BB and re-connect the world one package at a time...

Yeah it's hard to go backwards sometimes, but at least for me so long as I get a stable 30, I'm happy.

Always been more of a Beast Wars fan than OG, but this is a sick build, especially since it actually transforms.
