For all Danes interested in our own witch-hunting history, I can suggest tuning in to DR2 on Monday 📺 (or Sunday for streaming)

Here, I - and other lovely people such as @witchykallestrup.bsky.social - feature in DRs new four episode documentary “Heksejagt”.

This exciting book has just been published! 📘 If you wish to read more on Danish #earlymodern #magic, take a look at my chapter called ‘The Devil’s Sacraments’: Magical Practice During the Time of the Danish Witch Trials (1589–1660).

A great thanks to the editors!

It's a source of vexation to me that there's no proper word for the study of fairies - and I suspect the absence of such a term may be one reason why the study of fairies doesn't get taken seriously. So what are the potential options? (thread)

Given the X-odus (see what we did there? A true fire bird): which other #earlymodern centres have arrived here already?

We've got a starter pack for easy following, but keen to hear about more: go.bsky.app/LLzFj3b

A new Starter Pack of Danish historians - let me know if you want to be added.

As you might notice, there is a bit of a gender unequality in the Pack, so please help if you can :-)
