I had this little ditty looping in my mind while drawing my recent fan art piece, so I decided to make a quick 8-bit rendition of it today for the Game Boy! 🎵
Maybe this is what a Star Fox game on Game Boy would have sounded like! ⭐🦊

LOL!
Found out I could use instruments from an actual Zelda game🤔
I don't know if I actually will...
But I obviously I had to try it out...
It's always a ton of fun toying with new instruments 😆

Oh, this looks great!
Screenshot of Stories from Danger's Den, an 8-bit-style RPG with a top-down view. A soldier in red armor is standing in a large cavern with a floor of gray volcanic ash. To his east and west are large pools of glowing lava. To the north is a wall of basalt, and to the south, a pillar of basalt with paths around both its east and its west side. The game's menu is open, so we can see that Jocho is level 3 and has 31 out of 45 hit points and no magic points. He has 103 gold.
The game has just spawned its very first lava cave, and brave Jocho is exploring it. What do you think his quest here might be?
Reposting some of my favorite work for Somewhen, my main project. A lot of people have told me I've done a lot of work to make it beautiful and snappy and I think I should return to it to apply all I've learned through Project Kelvin.
Both are being made in Godot, so it's a no brainer!

The demo for Collector’s Cove offers a 360-degree dive into the game and provides a solid experience of what you can expect.

I hear you, but where's the clickbait in that? 😆
rpgmaker definitely isn't the right tool for everyone, but I think using opinionated pre-baked tools to make some games would be very instructive to a lot of folks setting out to make their epic custom dream game. they're a much lower-stakes way to learn important lessons like "how to tell a story"
I just noticed the game speed selector in the godot running window. Not sure how long that has been there but really useful for debugging.
Happy Caturday! :3

Screenshot of RPG Maker's map editor, which is opened to a map called "Castle Rooms - Small". The map contains a variety of castle rooms: common areas, shops, libraries, inns, guard posts, and stairwells. The rooms are separated by 1-tile-wide bands of empty space.
Here's a little behind-the-scenes glimpse of castle room templates that will be used in random castle generation. I'm preparing the smallest room styles first and going up from there.
Screenshot of Stories from Danger's Den, an 8-bit-style game with a top-down view. A house is surrounded by city walls, which are surrounded by a forest. The house has warm gray cobblestone walls, red-brown flagstone floors, and three beds. Three townspeople wander around inside. A guard patrols the courtyard outside the house but inside the city walls. Two adventurers walk atop the city walls.
A curious settlement that spawned a week ago: a single house, surrounded by a full set of city walls. Though it originated because of a bug I've since fixed, it's given me a design idea.
They're so cute! 🥰
"formless star", clay models of characters with various propellers on their heads are stood in a row in front of a starry background.
Anemo, a red character with a big orange nose and a green anemometer on their head is stood in front of their spaceship.
Finding the animal "Lighthorse", which looks like a lighthouse with legs, and a head made out of transparent cones of light. "Stands at the coastline to act as a beacon, however it has difficulty discerning a puddle from an ocean. said to be proud of its red stripes."
Inside the spaceship, the character Turbine, who is green and has buck teeth, is saying "They say if you love your job, you'll never work a day in your life. Seems I may be the only worker here."
Formless Star is out now!
