I've seen people do some real deluxe maps with Substance, but I don't know how the hell they get that kind of results (and a lot of the tutorials suck, haha)

Best of luck. The few times I've tried Substance, I've always had issues with visible seams. I searched for fixes once, and I saw this one post that was like "just open it in an editor and blur over the seam" and I'm like...that is not a solution >:U

I do try to support movies and shows that my friends are involved in, though I'm much more likely to watch those on streaming services. I dunno.

I think it's just me getting old. I miss the way it was, but those memories feel subjectively shaded. Nowadays I'm content watching something on a big screen in VR, because then I have more control over the experience and don't have to sit through half an hour of commercials and trailers.

Going to movie theaters was such a big part of my youth, but I think that's over for me. I'll still go once in a great while, but it has to be for a special reason (film festival, special event, supporting a small indie theater, etc). It doesn't feel the same anymore.

I like 2, and I also really should be doing this sort of concepting, so thanks for reminding me, haha

Hey, question for everybody watching me. Have any of you thought about streaming but hesitated, or tried it but didn't like it? What aspects of the experience would you say give you pause? What kind of streams would you want to do (e.g. art, games, other?) I'm just curious, no judgment here.

Aside from the crud, it feels like mentally it took me about ten days or so to recover from TFF. It wasn't a *bad* experience, just a very high-bandwidth one, and it's been slow getting all the way back to my usual productivity level.

I think this is doable and could be pretty cool, although you'd need a really dedicated team. Periodical publishing can become a total grind. (I once worked at a local newspaper, and I've got some stories, haha...)
