I’ve come up with a new quarterly event series called @writeback.bsky.social at the British Library.
The format is each writer presents for 20 min on a subject of their choice, then in the second half the writers interview each other. It’ll be hosted by @helenmort.bsky.social.

Often interested in revolutionary parallels, this thread has me thinking a lot about #Sudan and the echoes between movements.
Last night Turner Prize 2024 winner Jasleen Kaur used her acceptance speech to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people, to demand an end to institutional complicity in Israels genocide & to call for an immediate arms embargo.
So many great books and wonderful translators made this short list this year!
