A Radio Shack 150 in One Electronic Project kit. It's a big wooden box with a bunch of diodes and resistors and capacitors, AA batteries, an LED number, a tinny speaker. There's a few wires connecting various bits and the whole thing is gloriously 1970's reds, oranges and yellows.

I remember getting something like this for Christmas when I was about 10. Man, I fiddled with this thing for MONTHS. I don't really remember reading the manual that much - I did follow the wiring diagram for a few experiments, but it was mostly just full on fiddling.

I really like the Nissin noodles themselves, they remind me of the instant noodles in Australia. Thin and nice noodle texture, not thick like the OK Kitchen ones, not rubbery/course like MaMa or WaiWai. Absolute comfort food for me.

I make them "dry", drain most of the water then mix the seasoning sachet in - I prefer a creamy noodle with strong flavour over a noodle in soup.

Summer holidays, step daughter went out for Songkran last night, I didn't think she'd be needing a lift this morning but I left the alarm on anyway, just in case.

I woke up at 5am anyway. She wasn't home. I reset the alarm for 7am and 💤. Only an extra 30 minutes, but it was glorious!

Listening to music, I happened to see the cover art for Untouchables. I thought "Damn, I didn't think Korn would use AI art" then I twigged that the album is from the early 00's. Waaaaaay before GenAI became usable. The imperfections are artistic choices. Not slop 😆
