And this,
friends,
this is how you beat fascism.
You laugh the motherfuckers out of existence.
And your left is actually your right, if I remember correctly.
* whistles innocently*
Genuinely one of the coolest things I've ever seen a cultural venue post
😊
Living in the country side in spring has one Massive drawback : Oooph farmers spreading concentrated manure over the field.
Oooph ( part deux).
Normal manure is okay, quite like the smell of sheep shit mezelf, but the concentrated stuff smells lethal.
Oooph!!! ( deel drie).
Oh no! ( also : ough!!!!!)
Mh.....lemmie think...
Love this.
Picture of a mid sized dog in front of a body of water. They have a black head, body white at the front, black back. Paws are mainly white with a few black dots. Their fur is midlength. This particular dog is looking at your left, tongue slightly out. It is clearly a Good Dog.
Bit of a ' apropos of nothing ' question, but is anyone outside of the Netherlands familiar with the Friese Stabij? Its a Netherlandish breed. I took care of one, dacades ago and as much as I'm a cat person, really enjoyed their company.
This image shows a person sitting on a bench seat inside a train or subway car, holding a large, fluffy dog on their lap. The dog has a thick, light gray to tan coat with a darker face, and its tongue is hanging out as it appears happily panting. The person is wearing a red jacket and blue jeans. The dog's leash is visible, and the person's hand is gently holding it. The window by their side lets in natural light, and blurred passengers can be seen seated further along the train.
Has science gone too far?

In the north of Germany you have tea ceremonies. Perhaps something connected to that? Berlin's pretty northern(ish).
And cool though, Berlin! I can't wait for the northern railway to reopen so I can visit Germany a little bit easier again!
Enjoy!
Don't break any more arms!
Or legs!
Or your pelvis!

Wooden insect hotel with circular drilled holes and hollow tubes stands on a gravel surface beside dense green foliage. White text reads, “Take our online quiz to get tips based on your space, whether you’ve got a garden, a balcony or a sunny windowsill.”
One brilliant action: put up a swift box. These birds fly thousands of miles from Africa each spring and sleep on the wing, but they're losing nesting sites. A simple box on a high wall helps. Take our quiz for tips: colchester.cimuseums.org.uk/giveitagrow

It's Earth Day, and here's a thought: what could you do for wildlife this week in under ten minutes? 🌍
Grabbed a free Give it a Grow kit from the Natural History Museum? Your sunflowers and wildflowers are already creating food and shelter for pollinators.
Advert for kitchen staff at a local soft play centre. It’s horrible AI, and says “Banter all round, good sense of humour, cry laughing emoji” WE DON'T TAKE LIFE TOO SERIOUSLY... IT'S BANTS ALL ROUND! BUT WE STILL GET THE JOB DONE! CAN YOU HANDLE THE HEAT & THE JOKES? They also say they are having trouble with interview no-shows. Perhaps people are applying for the bants.
Found this cursed job advert
Spread a little joy friends.
Have a lovely day.
( if you can : go outside and leave your phone at home )

completely ignored her, the woman signalled again, with emphasis : 'COME'.
The dog sniffed at a blade of grass.
The woman then did the most glorious thing:
her right hand on her hip the left in the air
she counted
ONE
TWO
THR....
the dog came rrrrrrunnnning

On the footpath through the meadow, deaf woman with her big dog. ( I can see the dog, despite the tall grass...see yesterday's update on The Foot Path)
The dog was off the leash, and the woman called her/him.
But in stead of words, she signalled with her hands 'come'.
The dog, as dogs will, 1/2
Hugo-cat on his side, all paws and fur and tail, one paw covering his eyes with nose and mouth visibl, 10/10 for cuteness.
Goodnight my lovelies.
Oooph they are cute!!
Hihihihi
we all know I have no life, so:
wowsers...😬😬😬
a photo of a small grey dog, named Baxter, laying flat on his stomach on a white couch covered with a dark grey blanket. the photo is taken from a distance while Baxter stares directly into the camera. the most notable part of Baxter's pose is the fact that his legs are comfortably propped up behind him at a 90 degree angle, creating an illusion that he's kicking up his feet like a teenage girl.
This is Baxter. He’s thinking about his crush. No he won’t tell you who it is. 12/10 (TT: jayshaun077)
It's a snip from another platform. A man sleeps while an huge crab looms over him. Captions say "Don't worry you are not alone" and "We've hired a crab to watch over you". The comment on the post is "Crab Museum takes no responsibility for it smashing your flat to bits in search of tidbits of algae, whale flesh, or a simple good time. Frankly, we're as baffled as you are.
Why isn't Margate's Crab Museum on Bluesky?
We need answers. 🦀
Four years** I waited for the roof to be fixed in my little room at the back of my house and today I finally made a start on decorating it as a study.
Hooray and all that.
** most of that was not one's fault, really.
Just an unfortunate series of circumstances.
I like walking through the campus and overhearing my colleagues talk about their problems.
Usually these problems involve having too many vegetables. This morning: “All my fridges are full of pickles. The work fridge is full of pickles. Someone needs to take some pickles.”
Today, the raven that hangs out with #GarbageMare brought her an interesting piece of agate. Not sure what the banding indicates other than an iron deposit - could it be a fossil?
Friends its that time of year again where I see dog walkers walk their empty leashes.
( grass in the little meadow so tall it obscures most dogs from sight)
Never, ever do this. Your books have a natural order. Over the course of your life they will find their own equilibrium. Attempts to predict or distort that equilibrium are doomed to fail. Don’t suffer as James has decided to suffer. Save yourself.
