Email addresses too. A good number of websites use email address as a hard-coded username, but my old address has my deadname in it.. I had to create new accounts in a bunch of cases. Also shoutout to Air Canada, who has a form for name change, which they just ignore entirely.

I actually made a complaint to them about that one.. It sounded like they’d take it up with the lab I went to. I got my new ID shortly after that though, so I never found out if they’d actually addressed it. Their response sounded good though.

Oh absolutely. I’m lucky to live in a place that has less of that vitriol (but certainly not none). I do my best to help where I can.

Purely anecdotal, but I do think that the increased visibility has actually led to more people questioning and finding themselves in that time, so maybe a silver lining there.
