They all knew who he was. They chose this. They will choose the next vile thing too.

EXCLUSIVE: The SPLC indictment, the Klan history behind it, and the ignominy of Todd Blanche.
Another dark day for DOJ.
Tonight, at Law Dork:
All the many keen lessons of science fiction, futurism, and post apoc/dystopian, and yet we will hopscotch into the worst plotlines with zero clue and a weak-ass AI muzak soundtrack. Siiigh.
Fifteen minutes before the President announced he was pausing strikes on Iran, somebody moved $500 million in oil futures. Somebody knew. Somebody told them. Or somebody is them.

This. It was always the goal not to ease our labor but to devalue it.
Opportunist will say anything. Do not believe his contrition.
Easy solution: Ban these gluttonous resource hogs.
I'm not joking when I say mRNA technology is more important than "AI" and it's a tragedy we're throwing billions into one while our government is aggressively defunding the other.
So if Patel brings fake cases this week or next, understand that (i) he has a history of conspiring to manufacture evidence to steal elections, and (ii) corporate media will try to make you focus on 2020 but what *matters* is asking how such new (fake) cases impact 2026 and 2028.
NOTE: If Kash Patel indeed brings manufactured criminal cases over the 2020 election this week—something he knows a lot about, as he sought fake evidence from Kremlin agents to steal the 2020 election for Trump—it’s *not about 2020*.
It’s about rigging elections *going forward*.
7/7. It's worth dwelling on this point. It’s hard for Americans to process that their hard right politics is in large measure a Russian and Hungarian import — intellectually and also financially. We should take advantage of the defeat of Orbán to let this basic fact sink in.

They don’t need to work effectively. They just need to have the drone program running long enough to pivot to surveillance.
Kobo is great! Here's an earnings chart (disclaimer: I'm not a big author) of a BookBub Featured Deal. Yellow=Amz, red=Kobo & Kobo Plus, their non-exclusive subscription service. Chart 2 is the year after the BBFD, and Kobo readers keep finding the book. I'm happy Kobo gives us a place to publish.❤️
After big dams on the upper Klamath River in far northern CA were removed in 2024, Chinook (king) salmon migrated upstream for the first time in 100+ years--and now they have hatched.
This Tax Day, don't forget this: Donald Trump went out of his way to shut down the IRS' FREE and EASY tax filing program.
But I have a bill to bring it back for good. Let's get it done.
I have mixed feelings about taxing the rich (mix between satisfaction and glee) but I think it's also helpful to remind people what "tax the rich" means. Not "what you hope to inherit from your parents" rich; we're talking $238 million SECOND home rich.
Amazon will pay $20.5 million to settle allegations that two of its Oregon data centers helped contaminate groundwater.
This is exactly why communities across the country are organizing to stop data centers — and winning.
Never doubt your power to change the system.
Meanwhile, the typical American will pay a federal income tax rate of 14.5%
This is what a rigged system looks like.

Today, Pamela Jo Bondi, our most recent head of the Department of Justice, is blithely ignoring a valid, legal subpoena requiring her to testify before Congress.
We are not a nation of laws. We are a nation of some people can get away with anything.
Turned on NBC. They talked about “President tipping a DoorDash driver $100”.
This woman participated in GOP ads before playing other roles. There is no DoorDash deliveries to the Oval Office. Please exercise proper judgement when consuming news.
You know I knew that Door Dash woman looked familiar
The effective federal corporate income tax rate:
1950: 50%
1990: 25%
2020: 13%
Stop asking "but how we will pay for it?" Restore the corporate tax rate.
That is how we will pay for it.
Something like this will have to happen in this country once Trumpism is defeated. In the absence of accountability, the world will rightly assume that it will happen again.
One of the ways news media often fail us is by giving us the microscopic rather than the telescopic view. Everything I mention in this essay is well-documented, but the dots are mostly not connected to make visible this death by a thousand cuts our country is undergoing.
GFS map of temperature anomalies over the contiguous USA for March 21, 2026.
We need to talk a bit about how utterly absurd the March heatwave was in the USA.
This heatwave would have been impossible without a boost from climate change, but even with climate change it remains a deeply unlikely event.
A thread looking at some of the numbers.

To all those men asking why these women didn’t file police reports, I direct you to the Epstein files as an example. Despite police reports, in some cases depositions under oath and NO justice has been dispensed from a court of law. The women are re-traumatized and the men are free.
"Trump's not conservative"
Oh no you don't. No no no no no.
I can tolerate Republicans moving on from Bush and the neocons, 9/11 and all that.
But you fucking own Trump from now until the end of time. He told you exactly who he was from day 1 and you voted for him 3 times. That's on YOU.
The existential horror I feel watching the entangled disasters of politics, climate, technology, economics, societal pressures, etc. converge upon us at the same time we have absolute worst people in power (which is both cause and effect of above) is just...a fucking lot to deal with every day.
It's really something to be living through the worst President, the worst Supreme Court, and the worst Congress all at once
