"Most U.S. operators are instead retiring coal-fired plants because the facilities, many of which are over 50 years old, are increasingly uneconomic to maintain and operate."

I'm pretty confident Chris Wright is beyond delusional about the future of coal.
Demand is dropping over time (it's expensive and VERY dirty) -- and there's no reversing that downward trend.
Definitely some rotation on radar that got itself together and manifested as a waterspout over Puget Sound.π§πͺοΈ

Either when you have not enough (or perhaps too many) gays on the marketing team. π
Yup -- en masse. Have it seared into people's brains that Republicans do things that will piss them off.
I don't get what the hesitation is here. You've got to kick up mud and make a spectacle.
The fact that nobody seriously believes there is an institution in this country that will check the presidentβthat weβre all just sitting here hoping that he gets distracted and fails to follow through on his genocidal threatsβis the most damning indictment of our political system Iβve seen yet.
Agreed -- HOWEVER, Dems should use this moment to make a big spectacle. Like gather on the steps of the Capitol and make a big media moment out of it and call for Trump's removal.
Don't need Republican permission for that -- they need to make more ruckus and good trouble.

There it isβDated Brent (i.e., spot) crude hits $144.46/bbl, a new all-time high.

I'm cringing with embarrassment that an American president wrote this. Absolutely cringing.
Tell that to all the Oklahomans who voted for this ππ
If Trump were a Democrat, the only topic of conversation would be why hasn't the party thrown him overboard and replaced him yet.
As highlighted in this morning's @straightarrownews.bsky.social newsletter...
On This Day
1918: President Woodrow Wilson's Standard Time Act went into effect, advancing clocks by an hour and creating what's now known as daylight saving time.

Unpopular opinion alert: Chuck Schumer deserves credit for keeping his caucus in line until Republicans folded.
JUST IN: Democrats tonight have flipped a GOP-held state House seat in Florida.
And not just any seat: This is the district that contains Mar-a-Lago. (It voted for Trump by 11% in 2024).
That's right: Trump will now be represented by a Democrat, Emily Gregory, in Tallahassee.
Old Dems really really really need to retire and let the next generation lead.
Truly, you don't HAVE to die in Congress.
Decided to bite the bullet and try one of those gay dinner meet up groups that have been bombarding me on Insta.
Figure it can't hurt to try something new, right?
Guess we'll see how it goes come Thursday ππ

I don't trust the too often asleep at the wheel American electorate to understand much, but I think folks do at the very basic level understand that Republicans are in control of everything on the federal level.
Dems shouldn't feel they need to ride to the GOP or Trump's rescue.
Or -- get this -- Dems could sit on their hands and do nothing while things burn (and ensure Republicans fully take the blame). And certainly NOT agree to give the admin MORE power.
I'm not here (nor should Congressional Dems be) to enable this cruel and incompetent Trump admin.
