Re-upping this.
Can we do sequels?
Controversial take I’m sure but would love to see a modern sequel to this beauty…

Yes you should. I asked before referring her to you and she asked me to put you together.

I don’t think anyone else in this hotel bar has any idea there is a moon launch happening right now. Human spaceflight really has only one purpose and that’s inspiring people to accomplish formerly impossible things. We are not doing this right if no one knows about it.
Big win for Cox, who were taking one for the team in defending this. The impact if they had failed this defence would have been devastating for the open internet, including for the very people seeking an adverse ruling.
The Baldwin one has lots going for it, but was clearly ‘not real’ in a way that broke the ability of audiences (well,me) to stay immersed. An all-in straight take would probably do better. Would love to see it. Golden Child fictional universe cross-over seems like a no brainer, too
So so many good movies that suffered from bad casting.
Golden Child
The Shadow
Rocketeer
I disagree about last starfighter tho. It’s perfect. Leave it alone.
I once stood in a shower at Heathrow for half an hour trying to figure out how to make water flow. By the I did I was literally bleeding from the failed attempts. Well played sir. Well played.
My favorite travel game is “how the f^#%^ do I turn on the shower?”
I have questions…
This diagram of ICE human warehouses where every dot is a person reminds me of something but I can’t quite figure out what it is…
Important thread. The war on liberal arts has always really been a war on the ability for people to clearly see society as it really is, and not how the fasc would like to portray and enforce. Acts like this are intended as a conveyance into a post-truth society. Don’t accept it.
Thanks for that!

West Philly skyline tonight. Amazing!
I think it was a very similar time frame for the original putsch as well. History often rhymes…
There are several you see in Philadelphia driving around. Frankly surprised Philly people don’t treat them as a sort of a challenge…
75 to 85. But really just 68-72…
Paint may not be infrastructure, but it advances the argument that roads are not just for private passenger vehicles…
At Roger’s in Toronto we launched WebTV using Scientific Atlanta Explorer 2000 cable set top boxes. Horrible slow performance but a real proof of concept. When we turned it off a couple of years later the last user was using the tv-based email to run a small business.
Having eaten lunch at 7-11 and Lawson every day in Tokyo for months I have high hopes for the transformation they are trying to accomplish.
Original YTV staff member here. Think Canadian Nickelodeon. The CRTC licensed entire demographic-based channels so that broadcasters could pull in big ad $$ on US programming while also spending $ on Canadian productions as a condition for being able to do so. Like us. We did that really really well
Suggest the books of Wendy Long Stanley, who researched early records and wrote an historical fiction novel about how Betsy Ross could have been the person who did that, and why it reasonably might not have been well known.
I’m biased about her work, but the research was pretty thorough…
Rode out Wilma just north of Tulum in 05. The biggest issue for us was lack of comms after all the towers blew down. Total devastation on the ground and the tall glass hotels were poor choices. The smaller buildings did surprisingly ok as long as they were set back from the beach.
Philadelphia showed up today
Let’s embrace the spirit of that…
This is an extraordinary document for what it reveals about the beliefs of those who wrote it.
