for me, i probably won't bother confirming the exact situation you describe. but, ive been canceled on enough times with poor communication, and have anxiety, where for lots of social situations i like to be reassured things are actually happening as expected.

was not at HCMC personally, but was at children's hospital in mpls recently. had to wait for an ICU bed to get out of ER, and if one didn't clear in time we would have had to transfer to HCMC. if that had been shut down, not only would it not be an option, but ICU would have been busier, no chance.
