The Eternal Wanderer Cambridge Core - English Literature 1700-1830 - The Eternal Wanderer

I'm really pleased that my book The Eternal Wanderer is now available from Cambridge University Press. It explores the antisemitic Wandering Jew myth through Christian writing in the Gothic period, and is drawn from my PhD. You can read it for free until 7 Feb 2025: www.cambridge.org/core/element...

I love all of Syd Moore's witchy books, and THE DROWNING POOL is all about the local Leigh-on-Sea legend of Sarah Grey the sea-witch. And if you want to know more about Syd Moore's witch books, I wrote a blog post about them a few years ago: sheffieldgothic.home.blog/2018/08/21/t...

"The whole church took on something fantastic, supernatural, horrible; eyes & mouths were opened, here & there; one heard the dogs, the monsters, & the gargoyles of stone, which keep watch night & day, with outstretched neck & open jaws, around the monstrous cathedral, barking."

"You're lost, you're angry in the woods! And no one here is here to help you. There's a f*cking witch and she keeps leaving sh*t outside your door. There’s no one here to help you! She left little trinkets; you f*cking took one of them! "

Our microwave keeps beeping when no one’s in the room so I’m pretty sure it’s haunted. Or, our kitchen has a ghost or a poltergeist which might explain the time on these speakers - yes that is 25 minutes past the 29th hour and 20 minutes past the 31st hour in March 2030…

Can't believe you would do Delia dirty like that! Although you are correct the original trilogy with Damien are WAY better than the TV movie of Omen IV...but still Delia is so savage!
