But! I do hope you're all doing well, or as well as you can be! Despite the tone of this thread, I am Bound to this plane. I have become Known, so I must stay. Plus I have an adorable godson who I must love and protect. But I generally wish you all well, and may we all feel some of that spark again

Idk... I've gotten distant from a lot of people and I feel like I don't even have a right to say "hey what's up" since
- I did a poor job of keeping up in the first place
- I have nothing to share that would bring you value were we to interact
- I'm so empty and it's not fun to talk to that

And it got me thinking about Old Twitter, about the excitement of meeting online friends at cons, about the camaraderie we built with each other over the internet. And I've noticed that it's not just me who's been 🫠 melted down by the years, either through disillusionment or COVID or what-have-you.

I was also thinking, as I often do, "what if I died" and then "this one person is so allergic to talking to me that they wouldn't even blink if they heard I died" and then "omg but wait I would want some online friends to come to my funeral" but then "oh wait meeting alive would be better..."

I figure that the act of just making the cards will be sorta glorified doodling? And fun? I used to alllways draw on little cards and receipts at my old jobs. It would be fun to just have fun with it. I unfortunately do have financial concerns at this time, but I don't want this to be a side hustle.

The unfortunate thing (for me) is that there are sooo many videos about how to make money with it and how much per month people are making and how to turn yourself into a factory line to make as many as possible... But I don't want to worry about that. It'll just scare me away from arting again

I /did/ want to make a post here yesterday, that hey! I want to start making ACEOs/ATCs! My friend started doing them and it's been a great way for her to get back into art. But I haven't started yet, so it feels wrong to post about wanting to do it without actually having done it

But got bogged down by so many negative work-related things 😑 every day is another day with people having extremely strong emotions and opinions, and very incorrect ideas of reality
