Really love what yall have been doing here since the Antipode article; since then your perspective has been valuable to my work. Its also important to my own sentiment as a person who has never been keen with the arc of racial capitalism as a "watch word", (to use your compelling language!)

The last five weeks or so have truly been an embarrassment of riches amid an otherwise calamitous backdrop. Deep gratitude for my family, friends, and calling to geography is all I have.

What is going to make university degrees worthless isn’t niche subjects like languages or the entire human past, it’s charging to teach people “content-creator” skills they can learn on the can

A core component of my research questions the invocation of "taxpayer dollars" as a rallying point for human rights organizing.

I understand the valence. But can't something just be wrong on its face? Rather than be rearticulated as a cost that is (by design) minimized through economies of scale?

Still thinking about when a student I had recently wrote a whole essay response about how women "suffered" (from "suffrage") before the passage of the 19th amendment, and how quick i was to think at least they didnt use chatgpt for their answer
