Thanks. Yes I’ve seen the opt outs. But they still reserve the right to your data in some circumstances. Even with the opt out the commercial terms offer stronger protections.

That’s a good idea. So far I’ve extracted relevant code for a task and asked Claude code to build on that, but this is very cumbersome. I’m surprised no one is really talking about privacy, data retention and model training. Are all indies just using the consumer products or am I missing something?
I’m still on the fence of giving OpenAI or Anthropic access to my entire codebase from a model training perspective. For indies I think we can sign up to codex business plan but Anthropic requires minimum 5 seats for a commercial contract which prohibits training.
Great post! I was a devoted Aperture user and have never found a suitable replacement. Hopefully my upcoming release will bring back some Aperture magic ✨
Looking forward to it!
Let’s hope it has a bright future. A bit surprising that Photomator didn’t get an update. They should at least update it with the new RAW file support.
Along the same lines I find the floating toolbar items distracting. Especially in finder windows. Feels odd on macOS.
Agree 100%. It’s distracting and grabs attention away from the content which is the opposite of what they are trying to achieve. It might make sense if there is underlying content but would it still be a sidebar then?
Glad Midsommar ☀️
The perfect combo 👌 Inspires me to bring out my cube.
Thanks! Will definitely try them out. What do you use for crash reporting?
Very interesting! I’ve got the same dilemma. Their privacy first approach looks like a winner. How is the error reporting? Similar to Sentry?
I built something similar to Factory a while ago. This looks like it could be a drop in replacement. Is this the package by Michael Long?
Welcome to BluSky! I’m a fan of the store/model approach in your talk. It’s the first pattern that I’ve come across that makes sense and feels natural with SwiftUI. At least for my use case. Really enjoying the refactored parts of my code base.
