Look at that tall, airy greenhouse.
My wife used to be into scrapbooking. Made dozens when our kids were younger. She's into card making now.
I think this was the big company in that space then. Had "consultants" like Pampered Chef or Amway back in the day.

Nonsense. There are a number of 5-10 year old Hondas, Toyotas and Mazdas that will run another 100K miles with few issues.
The caveats are old software that has to connect with new phones and complex driver assist systems that don't like sloppy collision repairs.
I was 100% convinced this was a replica.

Nope. Don't really have many choices anyway, my commute and my vehicle are fixed. But gas hasn't crested $4 here either.
The wheels, the color, the seats. Just fantastic.
Wealthy parents have always had a choice because they can live in the best districts or pay for private school. I'm genuinely curious if school choice programs can allow more parents to find the place where their kids can thrive.
School choice programs seem to offer that promise, but often have different rules for different schools. Iowa's seems a bit better, although private schools are allowed to reject students due to special needs or behavior issues.
Had that been learned earlier and accommodated, their experiences would have been much different. They are thriving now, largely from their own efforts to educate themselves, but I wonder if we had an opportunity to choose a school better equipped for them, how would things be different?
Diagnosed with ADHD in 1st grade, the district did what they were required to do to accommodate them, but it's clear that special education is not the priority. College prep success passes levies. We learned after graduation that they were also autistic.
I'm a fan of the idea of school choice and genuinely want to understand how effective it is. Even the best public school isn't the best fit for every child. We are in one of the top districts in central Ohio and 2 of our kids thrived but our youngest struggled.
Disappointing story from NPR. It doesn't really answer the headline. Instead, the through line is that choice is bad for public schools. The two families they talk to seem to indicate that choice was good for their kids, but otherwise we don't learn much.
Repeat.

Those wheels are so good.
Went better than I had feared. Less than 2 hours and it's in, bolted to the engine, trans mount in place.
I'm probably 1-2 weekends from driving it again.
Here goes nothin'. ๐
Oh, and Crown Vic/Grand Marquis, Caprice/Parisienne, Caravan/Voyager, GM Dustbusters, Aerostars, Astros and Blazer/Suburban.
Of course there were Accords, Camrys, Civics and Corollas, but not as rentals.
As a hotel valet in the late 80s / early 90s I drove so many domestic sedans. Rental spec Tempo/Topaz, Ciera/Celebrity/Century/6000, Taurus/Sable, Town Cars, Devilles, Mustangs, Camaros, Dynasty, Spirit/Acclaim. Also a lot of S Class, 911s and 3 Series.
Recently, I owned 3 2002-2003 Proteges.
Ok, kinda proud of this one.

As someone who has a personal Android and a work iPhone, you have my sympathy. ๐
I hate my iPhone. ๐
Saw one of those on a business trip to SC 6 months ago.

Those first 2 or 3 crops were brutal. I do seem to remember this one too, but not well enough to get it early.

He also had the 1960 Thunderbird Convertible that I now own. Brought it home from LA in 1978. He let me drive it for homecoming in the 80s.
He also had a 1957 Eldorado Biarritz that he bought in 1959. It was non running in the garage and then under a tarp out back for a long time. He finally had an amateur restoration and it also was in the ACD museum. Dad now owns it.
Grandpa had a few old cars. My favorite was the 1937 Cord 812 Phaeton he got when a friend defaulted on a loan. He had it restored, but rarely drove it because it was temperamental. I remember only one outing. It spent many years in the ACD museum in Auburn, IN. Sold at auction in the 90s.
I clearly did not spend a lot of time thinking about this. ๐
Toyota and Honda seem to build model equity.
Accord
Civic
CRV
Odyssey
Camry
Corolla
RAV4
All have 30+ year histories.
For US makes, only the Suburban and Explorer come to mind.
