Wee clip from my recent guest mix for @lowlightmixes.bsky.social

“From Dusk Till Dawn” is dream-like and hazy. Like an escape into the hush of night…

Much love to Dave for sharing the mix on his channel.

Put together a new ambient guest session for @lowlightmixes.bsky.social

“From Dusk Till Dawn” is dream-like and hazy. Like an escape into the hush of night and through to break of morning. Grainy ambient, dub and flickering melodies.

Thanks checking in. Everything is ok at low light headquarters. I’ve just had a ton of stuff going on that has sucked up my time. I am retiring soon so maybe I’ll have more time for mixes. Or maybe I’ll be too busy do nothing and taking naps. Lol Thanks for listening and for your kind words.

I’m enjoying coffee on a frigid morning. The coffee shop was not crowded and chill. And then…a group of ten middle school girls showed up. My noise canceling AirPods can’t keep up.

“The Island” by The Decemberists is already a sort of prog tune so I’d love for them to do a new version that goes full on prog rock. Turn it up to 11 and with a bit more muscle. #progrock #prog

I'm delighted to learn that my new ambient piece was the inspiration for @lowlightmixes.bsky.social to create a brand new Blade Runner inspired ambient mix. 😊

Also featuring music by Martin Stürtzer, Logic Moon, deepspace, and more.

What was the “song of summer?” One tune spent 10 weeks at #1 - “Ordinary” by Alex Warren. But there’s no way that abomination of a song is the song of summer.
Here are my nominations:

The Beaches -Last Girls at the Party
Σtella - Adagio
The Beths - Metal
Jay Som - Float
Silvan Estrada - Dime

I thought liberals were supposed to be snowflakes. But right wingers losing their minds over the redesign of the Cracker Barrel logo is actually f-ing hilarious.

This is a variation of what I hate about political reporting and punditry. Everything is treated like it’s an analysis at the halftime of a NBA game. Political reporting loves to put events in a winners and losers framework or its impact on poll numbers.
