The more linear Souls games are rough for me because you can't pivot out of something that's too hard... so it feels really really good to be back at cruising altitude and even better to finally beat both the bosses I was stuck on after all these years (Amygdala in 2015 & Martyr Logarius last year)!

Both of my attempts at playing through Bloodborne have included the following:

- Getting stuck on an optional boss and fizzling out
- Refusing to play the chalice dungeons

And now that I've learned that the latter is like, actually necessary for loot and levels, I'm suddenly having fun again :)
