Really hot and dry this summer. Haven’t seen the usual lizzys. 🦎 🫤

Truth. Definitely get attention when they’re something new and different.
Sadly, we haven’t had much rain this monsoon season and it’s been incredibly hot. Yesterday we broke a record for August with 112° temps. It’s going to be a long, dry winter if we don’t clock some real rain soon.

Had another big rain last week and this morning these things were all in bloom. It’s early in these pics - like 6:00 AM so it’s still pretty dark out. Have to walk early as it gets hot fast. 🥵 Doesn’t look like what you usually see in the desert 🌵. Nice change,
