My first Parkrun at Morrissey Park! 👟 I finished the whole 5K with only a few walk breaks, which is not bad considering I haven't gone running in 3ish years. 😅

There are many strengths within Black families and communities that get overlooked. Black families have a history of resilience, rooted in strong family bonds and a deep sense of community, which are used to overcome systemic barriers. Doing this work is critical if we are to comprehensively address existing health disparities.

Sad state indeed. I'm no longer a student, but still appreciate the free food. I guess there are some things you don't grow out of.

America will pay dearly for the NIH’s mindless war on wokeness and DEI Colleges, businesses, patients, students, workers, and US excellence will all suffer—and for what?

The cost-saving claims don’t hold up. Every dollar in NIH research grants generates $2.46 in economic activity, research shows—a total of $93 billion in 2023 alone.

“It’s incredible to me that we would give up this thing that has such obvious societal benefits,” says biologist Mark Peifer.

How corporate America got DEI wrong President Trump is accelerating the attacks on diversity-in-business programs. But DEI experts say this may be the wakeup call big companies need.

"What we're seeing in the moment is the few companies who took it to heart…and the many who just wanted to sprinkle some DEI on top." If they were sprinkling it on top, it was performative anyway. Here's hoping the old DEI programs might evolve to actual systemic change. www.npr.org/2025/02/03/n...
