A compromise that might be interesting, if just watching the movie wins, would be to emulate it just for like a few of the missions. Just to see what the game was like, since the movie doesn't remotely look like the game.

I imagine substance designer is more comprehensive but for mostly wanting to do stuff like this, this seems like a good get
Nice! I feel like I should look into instaMAT now, this looks handy 🤔
Oh man it rules and it's not as scary as it seems. It mostly has a lot of stuff going on because you can do a lot of stuff but realistically you only need to use one part of it. One of the coolest things is it really gives you all the data of something laid bare and lets you fuck around with it
Oh nice smart! I've done something similar for something at work where I ran out of vertex colours on a rock system I built in Houdini so I pushed some to UV (which is nicely easy in Houdini. UV is just a vector 2 after all)
I imagine the tool also removes UV seams or you get a bigger vertex count
Oh hell yeah! 👏 Yeah this definitely works nicely and especially as you said if you have a few lighting states to blend between. I've stopped worrying about what fits for PS1 at this point anyway, I am all aboard the PS2 train now, the golden age haha
Ooo yes this is a great idea! Really allows you to have congruent lighting across an area without a lot of manual colour selection. It also allows for some dynamic gradient changes for stuff like time of day and since it's greyscale, you could swap between RGBA for 4 different lighting sets 🤔
Oh I love it! I never let my wife assemble anything because I want the joy of it haha it's such a satisfying activity
I think it's different if like this, it's an unnecessary sequel. You can just ignore anything that comes after. You can just only take things into account that happen in Lisa the painful
Ah thanks! 🙏 Same in return!
Its gone multiple iterations and taking longer than it should but it's a spooky puzzle game (no combat) retro 3D game!
Steam page is pretty outdated at the moment so here is a more recent video. Hopefully next year I will do a page refresh/media blitz

In UE5 no less (with baked lighting, no nanite or lumin. It's basically just UE4 with all the added tools and it rules)
Yeah pretty much. The Steam Deck is a perfect low spec machine to test against. I am pleased that my project runs 90fps on deck and 140fps+ on my computer 😃
As a Tech Artist, this has been a real game changer and my favourite UE feature in a while 🙏 Thank you for your work
No Players Online - the full version of the viral abandoned online FPS horror game - is back on Steam. 🎉
The game was falsely removed weeks ago, just after launching, which has severely impacted the studio's survivability.
Please spread the word, and support it! ❤️

@vladimerelhore.bsky.social 's "Bone Fire Effigy" coming to Steam!
A short narrative driven horror game about feeding into things and letting them grow out of control.
Wishlist it now!

Sweet little British shorthair baby (4 years old) named Ichiban
I just got a new fancy camera and I got a fancy little baby to take a picture of 😺
Weirdly I also just finished this film just now and also think it's amazing haha Possibly his best work to date even
Yeah I noticed this from yesterday and it's really annoying
Yeah this definitely speaks to me, I've never really had much interest in making stuff that is unique and never before done. I like to focus my time on making something known, but better (especially because most of the time nobody has done it before for a good reason...)
It's time to get your brain back.
Mark your calendars for September 17th!

TRY NOT-DO!
She is a sweet diva who never stops yelling at me for treats
Hi I am MrAsmoday and this is my sweet baby Ichiban
Haha yeah agreed. It's very neat tech that is nice and realistic up close, peaking my technical interest but functionally it is a huge waste of time and performance cost. Save this tech for realtime stuff in TV/Films
If anything it's people doing this that gives it a bad name. Even a lot of AAA studios seem to not fully understand how to use it and think it's just magic
I mean that isn't what you're supposed to do with it 😅
Hmm disagree, Nanite and Lumen are shaping up nicely with each update but requires in-depth knowledge of how it should be used. It's basically an entirely different workflow and if it's not used correctly then it will run badly and look bad, though there isn't a point if you're not doing AAA realism
I was wondering where the orange box was but then I realised physical and other games not got through the steam store come up in licenses instead so here is the more real list
