A little progress update on my Sci-Fi Tram scene!
Material pass is next up! Also decided to change this to a night scene, which I feel like is working well bonus: you can also see the planet in the background much clearer due to less daytime Rayleigh scattering :D)

A Gym, but a sports/activities gym. Somedays you come in and you’re throwing football WR drills and doing two hand touch. Then the next day a pickup basketball game. Then maybe organized dodgeball the next day. Hell, throw in European handball and ultimate frisbee. I need this.

When I lived in Oceanside, California there was this Taco Bell that was across the street from me that went against franchise recommended prices and had all sizes of their drinks just $1.
I think about that Taco Bell often. It was the best.

I’m sorry but Sockeye Salmon is just not it. Not even in the same stratosphere as Atlantic/King/Coho. I’ve tried so many times to like it and I just can’t.

It was a quick 5 weeks sprint that focused on 5 mini-games based on the iconic “Squid Games” elimination games but in the style of a race! (I was the sole Environment Artist on the project)

Still hard at work trying to find a full time work as a Senior Environment Artist, but in the meantime I took 5 weeks away from my personal projects to join a very tiny team working on UEFN Fortnite content for Fortnite’s Squid Games event!

I know I’ve made a few of these posts before, and I really hope I’m not bumming anyone out with too many of these posts - but I’m sharing all of this this in the hopes that it reaches someone who might know of an opportunity or could offer a referral.

On a personal level, it’s been challenging trying to support my family during this time. We’re suffering. It’s so hard to not feel like I’m failing my wife and our 14-month-old daughter while facing this extreme uncertainty.

But while the uncertainty exists, it has not even began to tamp out the passion that I have for helping create beautiful experiences for people to enjoy and play. It will never alter my love for communicating joy through my art. 3/
The state of the industry right now is so tough, and it doesn’t look like things will get better anytime soon. Not gonna lie, this has made me feel uncertain about the future of being part of this industry… 2/
Still working hard to find my next big adventure, but I have to admit I’m feeling pretty disillusioned. With 13 years of experience in the industry, creating solid work and being dedicated to my craft, it’s hard to process going on so long w/o even reaching a final interview. 1/
