Have you read the Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children series? Ransom Riggs collected a bunch of "weird" photos from estate sales, etc., then made a book series about the lives of thepeople in the photos. I'm not really selling it well, but it's genius. Photos like this for sale on eBay
