If we had a cabinet of intelligent people who cared about people and were willing to stand up to Trump he would be removed under the 25th amendment. But we don't. Trump would never hire such people. So we sit and wonder how bad things are going to get.

Happy Trans Day of Visibility. I know trans people and I know fascists who are making life difficult for trans people. The trans people are pretty cool and I'm glad I know them. The fascists can go fall down a deep dark hole.

Playing tricks on people and then laughing at them because they trusted you is first-class victim-blaming.

No, I'm not vaguebooking. This is just me reminding you that most April Fool's jokes aren't funny.

A day at the University of Minnesota Last Fall, I was once again invited to the ECEP summit, an annual event I’ve been attending for years on K-12 CS education equitable…

I spent a few days in Minneapolis, talking to academics, queer folk, and finding cozy corners in the aftermath of the ICE invasion. Here's a quick trip report, for the curious: medium.com/bits-and-beh...

It's obvious that the administration did not do enough planning around this whole attack. They are apparently surprised that Iran is closing the strait as they had no preparation for it. They had no plans to get Americans out of the area. Did they not expect Iran to retaliate? Total incompetents.

A good way to understand something better is to go broader. To help students see that everything inside the computer is stored as a number, rather than just looking at text, images and sound, why not include other things such as programs, dates and times?

Mathematics: Octal Understand the representation of numbers in octal.

That's the reason that I made an octal page, and my hexadecimal page has more than two digits - further examples to test the students' generalised knowledge of number bases.

This should be required reading for anyone who doesn't work in an actual school but feels the need to insert themselves into the AI in Education conversation.

It's also a great read for those working in schools!

I listened to a few minutes of Biden's talk at Jesse Jackson's memorial service. I've never been much of a Biden fan to be honest. But compared to Trump, he is an amazing speaker.
