EINE code is available for an enterprising Lisp hacker to revive. It was the second Emacs ever.

My takeaway: Athletic Prep.
If so, can you provide a description for the historical record? It's good to keep track of provenance rather than just plonk an unadorned zip file somewhere. (I have done that mistake, and regretted it later.)
Thank you! Is it ok if I make a copy and put it online with other LINC software?
Thank you. Yes, I'd say both listings are interesting. Even if one version of Spacewar is available, maybe another could have interesting differences.
I understand your concern. Are all the components available online in various places? Maybe I can make a script that pulls everything together.
Thanks, but at this point I'm not looking to run this myself. But I think others would be, if they could.
Where is this repository?

I know it isn't, but I harbor a secret fantasy that the BESM-6 was a Soviet clone of the PDP-6. It would have been a sweet alternative reality.
Marge Piercy's book Woman on the Edge of Time. Corner lifted to show "PDP-10" on page 221.
This book has an important message!
DEC introduced sixels first with the VT220, later with graphics terminals like the VT340. This was around 20 years after the LINC. Arguably sixels only became cool a few years ago when people rediscovered them and added support to terminal emulators.
Description of the LINC instruction DSC, display character. It draws 2x6 points.
The LINC had sixels before they were cool.
Spacewar running on a LINC emulator.
Spacewar on the LINC was early and small.
Leeloo, is that you?
#MIT AI memo 239 "HAKMEM" now comes with the original files from PDP-10 backup tapes.

I wonder if the pie menu was put there by Don Hopkins? Probably.
Let me take this opportunity to express my admiration for your witty user name, g000001.

I gather in telecom, mainframe - or main distribution frame in full - is still in use meaning something like chassis.
What have you been working on?
It was a game engine for Space Travel.
It ought to be spelled K ERNI NG.
Feel the relief of not having systemd around.
It was Devin Monnens. He's also in touch with Len Berger, the original programmer, and will interview him soon.
I have opened a pull request for Open SIMH to add support for the display. The game code is also there, in the PDP8/test directory. github.com/open-simh/si...
A missile approaching a UFO.
The game runs on PDP-8 emulators now.
