Tesla saved $400 million on its federal taxes by shifting billions of its U.S. profits to countries with lower tax rates.

Yes: While you paid your taxes in full, giant corporations maneuvered to pay as little as possible — and it’s all perfectly legal for them.

The system is rigged.

In voting rights win, Virginia agrees to stop mass voter purges near Election Day The dispute exposed a growing national tension between Republican-led efforts to aggressively purge voter rolls and federal protections designed to ensure eligible voters are not wrongly removed.

🚨BREAKING: A federal court Monday approved a settlement forcing Virginia to halt voter purges near elections — delivering a major win for voters by reinforcing federal protections against last-minute disenfranchisement.

I kind of enjoy that he’ll end up hearing everyone bring this up the rest of his natural life.

Why have grocery prices been going up on a weekly basis?

At this point it is just pure greed.

They are making more profits than they have ever been.

I mean. It is literally on a weekly basis.

The new French Revolution can’t come fast enough.

In the same manifesto, Palantir's owners argued that we need a national military draft, that soft power is over, and that we were too hard on Germany and Japan after World War II. I don't think that company should be allowed to exist anymore.

If it makes you feel better, I’m an Oxford comma convert. I started my career anti because I was a journalist. Then went into marketing and almost all roles have required it. Now it feels weird not to use it.

Don’t let them near your health system. They’re already destroying the US pretty spectacularly. 😭

Look when I was in college I took a class on the philosophy of authoritarianism, so all this Palantir manifesto stuff is immediately recognizable to me as just Mein Kampf written in neon letters

My neighbor who was a hospital nurse midwife diagnosed my weird disorder. She did it so casually. Oh! You’ve got this. Meanwhile for years every time I tried to ask doctors about my weird symptoms I was brushed off. I did so much damage to my body without knowing it for decades.

Ossoff: I don’t know who placed those trades, but I’ll tell you this: the SEC better find out. And if they won’t, when you elect this new majority in Congress and you give us gavels and subpoenas, we will.

As an American. I make the decision to buy a gun and go shoot somebody. I get convicted and go to jail.

An a health Insurance exec. I make the decision to deny care and kill someone. I get a bonus.

England fans facing hugely inflated prices to get to New Jersey's MetLife Stadium for World Cup games The cost of getting the train from New York to the venue, where the Three Lions play Panama in their final group game, will be £111 - nearly 12 times the usual fare.

Dear fellow Brits, from this Brit-American:

Please don't come here. It's dangerous. You may be targeted, arrested and unlawfully detained - likely courtesy of ICE - without access to legal representation.

I've told my family to stay away.

Please boycott America. 🇬🇧💙

I’ve been telling people this same thing. Don’t come here. Aside from the fact that they’ve priced everything exorbitantly, it’s dangerous here right now.

Also it was really nice to stop hearing the Virginia redistricting election ads. The vote no lies are so grating. 🤮🤣

We did a caravan/camper van through the highlands for a few days (Glasgow to ballater to Loch Ness to fort Williams to Glasgow) then our niece’s wedding in the city.

Also spend a few days in London but really want more time in Edinburgh next time since we only flew in/out of there.
