I despise with the heat of a thousand suns the way I have to be suspicious of all art I see now while I investigate it's authenticity, because this couldn't be more diametrically opposed to the state of mind one should be in while taking in all art.
I’ve definitely played games without the option to switch though, they’re the ones I’ve had to return the fastest. My first video game (NES/PC platformers/text) didn’t have this issue at least. Found out fast on PS1 and stopped playing games meaningfully until Steam.
Tbh you’re probably right! The dyscalculia makes even imagining this question nearly impossible. I’d have to boot up a game that gives me migraines to double check on the controller physically (and likely say out loud what is happening to remember/understand/relay it back) and that is a no dice.
(I should add a lot of *newer* games do allow you to reverse it, but given how long FPS has come out, this was just something most devs didn't implement for so long that FPS now feels wholly inaccessible in general unfortunately. Add jump physics and I'm out lol)
B - but I have dyscalculia and there are a lot of FPS games I literally can't play because they don't let me reverse the thing. It's just a one way ticket to migraines and motion sickness. I expect the main answer will be A and predominantly folks who don't get these issues, lol.
