Just upload the new version to Disney+ and let people know they might spot something different if they were to happen to watch Endgame again?
Problem solved. Less bad press, fresh hype, bump in subscribers, including lapsed fans (maybe even me but… haha lol doubt it)
Why capitalism so stupid?

Every example used to push the "men are lonely" narrative makes me think "no, men are not lonely enough."
Unexpected bonus of research - discovery of a banger podcast.
Anyone querying, or thinking about it, give this a listen. Good vibes and bang on the money.
First and foremost this is a great story about sex work, misogyny, and patriarchy, but it also just has some really fucked up alien sex and guys being absolute freaks.
"Tabula Rasa" by Amy Kitcher is now free to read!
🔥🔥🔥
Ffs. I looked. I laughed.
EXCLUSIVE: Promises from a beautiful cover and a premise of Logans Run meets The Giver (wish a dash of Autonomous by Annalee Newitz), KILLSWITCH PROTOCOL by @mjkuhnbooks.bsky.social promises to be a blast. Come check out the gorgeous cover!
WAGAW?
Another absolute banger episode. Full of good vibes and great advice for querying authors! 🤝
Thiiiisssss.
(Related point, if you read a hot take article and it pisses you off, that was the intention. They know it’s bullshit. Rage bait gets more interaction than anything else, and all of these articles have been created/ run with at least one eye on driving engagement)
I don't know why AI grifters expend so much energy trying to convince us that it's okay to write with the plagiarism machine.
Send your slurry of shit into the world. Let the readers decide.
Why do you act like you need our approval? Why do you give a shit if we don't consider you legitimate?
I’m increasingly perplexed by the whole discussion. Show me a non-planet eating, non-harmful AI that does useful or beautiful things and I’m so very there for it. Show me an actual living machine and I’ll advocate for it. But this stuff… meh. No.
Cheers, son’s crying.
(It’s me, I’m son’s)
🏳️⚧️Fix your hearts or die🏳️⚧️
I didn’t need to discover what happens when you google a Pokémon.
That’s my day gone.
YOU - “So I should just... just... get a hat and FUCK it, right?!” (Point at your head, where the hat should be.) “Engage in sexual intercourse with a hat right here in front of you, because you told me so? On the SEA ICE?!”
no it’s a fantastic time to be writing a book; books are almost singlehandedly getting me through this hellscape and I am more grateful than ever to my fellow authors for persisting through *gestures* all this
The Weird Anthology is hands down the best gift I ever received, and is still my favourite thing I own.
Also, I’d do any rewrites in a blank word doc then copy and paste into the draft. For some reason working in the big ol’ master doc was too overwhelming and I’d freeze up.
Towards the end of my 3rd draft I felt similar - Got the ball rolling again by going non-linearly, and focussing on the ‘easier chapters/sections’ where I knew the fix or had moments I was especially excited about. Used that piecemeal momentum to get me over the line.
I mean like fuck capitalism, eat the rich etc and all that… but I would def pay for a query critique from your good self.
Who fucking cares?
The quality argument was always a fallacy, because it doesn’t matter if an LLM is slopping out the ‘greatest novel ever’. It’s still bullshit involving no human talent or insight and I want nothing to do with it.
Label AI work. Let me discern accordingly.
I just had this in reverse! Came across Marc Laidlaw’s ‘400 Boys’ in the wild
(Good vibes case in point)
Honestly if the cover slaps and/or (mainly) your vibes are good, I’m not even looking at the pitch - i’m just diving in.
(…but I also have to see the thing about 5 times before it sticks in my head and I actually take action…)
Hey authors, I know y’all hate self-promotion, but when I see book promos in my feed being retweeted by friends I trust, I almost always click through to check it out, and if it’s on sale you have *really* good odds of me taking a chance on it, so, you know, you should do that more.

"If I was to use ChatGPT for my designs rather than our designer Sean, that's taking money out of the local area into the hands of a multibillionaire ... removing value from the local community and local artists [and] into the hands of some of the richest people in the world."
