A small reminder of the beauty around us
The theme for this anthology is “A Long Way From Home”. The theme can be taken literally or metaphorically. The forced migration and displacement of people, but also voluntary migration for work reasons, for love. Why some people are called expats and others migrants. The migration of birds. A person that feels like home. A country, a place, a language, a body that doesn´t. Submissions are open from 10th April until 10th May, midnight CET.
We`re looking forward to reading your work! www.sidhe-press.eu/submissions/...
If anyone has tips on:
1. Living with older parents you have moved in with you;
2. Living with a person with dementia;
I am all ears.

World won’t let the stitches set before landing another blow—no entertaining real solutions. Outside the self the reckoning bulks up like a recurrent tumor. Or a monstera

Memories seem to us like messages from the past whose author isn’t quite the self we know.

I'm so honored to be part of this stellar group of writers at one of my favorite journals. Thank you to @tylermalone.bsky.social for my fitting artwork too!
I've written very little in the last 18 months. This story bears more weight than usual.

Poetry, poetry, poetry - please send it my way. I'd love to fill a spot in a June issue of the Morning Star with some original words that say something about the world we're creating. 🌿
