The problem is that anyone who's taken the poison has a bad habit of intentionally or even accidentally poisoning those they come into contact with, at least "a little". And while no single interpersonal interaction could be enough to actually kill someone this way...

It tastes bad the first time. But while it makes you feel a *little* sick, it doesn't kill you... And everyone around you tells you that the poison actually gives you some special powers that people who don't ever take the poison don't have...

Imagine you are very young, and your parents, or a teacher, or some other trusted authority, or even a peer, gives you a very small dose of poison...

I don't think you count genetically fixing DNA of your inbred offspring counts as "medication"

If this was confusing, sorry, I didn't preface the whole thing with my thesis, "using 0-knowledge proofs in med research is intrinsically bad, and the only people who like it are ghouls who are using the human population as lab rats to test meds that the public won't get access to."

How do you keep all your stuff within your own circle without having to go outside of it *ever*? Live as long as you can, and use genetic technology to fix the problems that arise from inbreeding.

This is why money is actually being invested into longevity and CRISPR technologies.

Once genetics proved it was true, they resigned to strategic alliances or taking in common folk who wouldn't pose a threat, but each of those things proved a problem: power grabs happened with more elite bloodlines, and "improper ideas" happened with the lessers.

And it's most obvious in genetics. Basically - people with money and power have always been limited by the fact that they can't just interbreed forever to conserve their assets bc eventually their offspring become stupid or crazy... To put it simply....

This is a business model vs research model or education model bc *OF COURSE WE WANT OTHER PEOPLE TO KNOW WHY IT WORKS SO WE CAN ALL KEEP CREATING BETTER MEDICINES* but there's actually another, more insidious thing besides "capitalism bad" going on

Starting off with the reason I had a need to write into the void:

Medical research funding, especially genetics. I got set off by a video on "Zero Knowledge Proofs" and how amazing they would be in medical research to prove a drug works without showing why.
