Hahahaha… well played.

I think you’re right saying ‘odd’. It’s more a discipline than a creative act at times.

I remember when the whole world was an If Then Else ‘statement’. Good old days!

That’s quite similar to my approach but at times life throws me out of the flow and it takes ages to get back into the story. Life… pfff…

I haven’t seen that one as yet but may have to now 😉

I think top of list for me is still Thelma and Louise. Don’t know if I can rewatch it. It still jerks my tears.

I was just thinking that I have to read the script.

Just watched “Long Kiss Good Night” again after at least a decade.

Brilliant, well shot and picking up on some “finer” details. Aged like a good wine.

Rewrites are the best reason to clean your house, get errands done, and get stuck on meticulous tasks, like watch cleaning.

Sounds exciting and what a script description! You got me at mind bending.

Congrats!

I love this one too, but it does remind me of the Dr.Who episode, Vincent and the Doctor, which I also love.

“The Hundred Year Old Who Climbed Out The Window And Disappeared” is a giggle from start to finish.

It’s a classic and always great. The book is one of my favourites. So well casted. 🧚🏽‍♀️

Oh phew, I had to do some soul searching around this sentiment. Starting with, of course I would love to see my movie on the big screen. Would I love to see it if someone else wrote it? Still chewing on this one and the last sentence … lots to digest 🧚🏽‍♀️

Add more pages after mid-point and extend your script? 😉

As a kid you were already very clever 💕

I can’t always write to music. At times I prefer the dead quiet, often during rewrites and edits. Xx

Hahahaha! I’m sure it’s great stuff!
I definitely no genius. Current WIP, bare bones draft.
“Alarm, alarm! My characters are out of control, pulling me around the page, doing what they want, too much talking!! What a mess”

In review: Actually not too bad… needs work but we’re somehow on track’.

An interested question.

Any ex or current coders or code developers out there on #scriptsky?

Do you feel it benefits your writing?

I have done a bit a long time ago and I honed my brain to hold many strings of thought (logic, scenes, characters, ideas) in my head while focusing on the task. 🧚🏽‍♀️

I hear you!

How about if you’re writing and you hear a song and it inspires a scene? That happens a lot to me and at times I skip forward to write a scene cause I can’t wait to write it to the song.

Inspiring post and very relatable. I have a script idea lined up and visualise the golden scenes but I have no theme or story as yet. It’s a romcom, or a ghost story, maybe like 6th sense but more fun… a 6th sense romcom, focusing on dance. 😂 Mulling it over and over.
Maybe I’ll skip this one… 🧚🏽‍♀️

I walked out in November 24. Didn't take anything with me. Didn't delete my account, never been back and have forgotten about it.

I have everything I could wish for and more here on Bluesky.

Once you see these broad shoulders walk through the door, you won't see them again. 🧚

I love this and only would add passion to the list.

It’s all the other parts it takes to get one’s movie made I don’t have the patience for. Finding representation, interest, funding etc etc etc…
Keyboard and idea is happiness…
