I’m holding a fundraiser tonight to try to prepare for my re-election campaign AND to celebrate my birthday with friends and family! Please join!
Can’t make it? I would appreciate a donation of any size to help keep this work going and make re-election possible!

If you had hardened opinions on the school closure process of last year and you live in Columbus City Schools, we need your feedback on the draft school closure policy being considered by our Policy and Governance Committee. Link to policy draft is in the form.

Thank you to our community advocates who testified at our Board meeting, shared your support, and helped make this happen. Thank you to Board Member Jen Adair for helping me steward this through and putting this before your ETRM committee. And thanks to my fellow Board members for passing it.

Image is a photo of Sarah Ingles with greenery background that says “Columbus City School Board passes the Safe Green Schools Resolution and commits to carbon neutrality by 2050!” Post then includes words with check marks next to them including “healthy schools, workforce development opportunities, cost savings, and good for kids.”
Exciting News! 🎉 I am proud that the Safe Green Schools resolution I helped champion was passed by the Columbus City School Board at our February 4th meeting. The resolution commits to carbon neutrality by 2050, which puts us in alignment with our regional governmental partners.

Madeline’s Law would require insurers to cover hearing aids for kids. We passed it in the House with an overwhelming bipartisan vote and Governor DeWine has pledged to sign it. It’s time for the Senate to concur and let Ohio’s children hear.

Lori Chavez-DeRemer, a first-term Republican representative from Oregon who narrowly lost her House seat this month, was chosen to serve as labor secretary in the coming Trump administration.
Something you may not know about me is that I love a good documentary. I just watched “The Remarkable Life of Ibelin” on Netflix. I can’t say enough about the production and storytelling of this young man’s life and online community. It was honest, raw and entertaining all at once. Highly recommend.
More than 400 people submitted proponent and opponent testimony on a bill that would require Ohio public school districts to put a policy in place that would allow students to be released from school for religious instruction.

Ohio's Lt. Gov. Jon Husted, goes all-in on axing the U.S. Dept. of Education. Closing it would rip away $18 billion per year from high-poverty schools, $15 billion from special education, $28 billion from Pell Grants to help high-performing kids in poverty go to college.
I will continue to speak this into existence until it finally happens.
BRING THE QUEST BACK BUT MAKE IT WNBA! 🏀 Columbus just got Katie Smith back (at OSU) so we’ve got the future Coach back in town…
