The most annoying person you know was unfortunately right about the lack of online functionality in Tomodachi Life being the secret sauce that made the game's release more social and involved than it would have been otherwise.

The internal conflict of "I'm content with a game that I buy and take in whatever lastability it may offer without the expectation of post launch support" and "$60 is a big ask, Nintendo".
Like, there's something fascinatingly disturbing about seeing a screenshot of someone's island and seeing their restaurant surrounded by a 10 space parking lot
Between Living the Dream and New Horizons there's this really interesting trend to observe of players who, when given the opportunity to landscape what is effectively a walkable community will still incorporate the aesthetic of a car-based infrastructure.

Had to go to a cafe to do schoolwork in order to pull myself away from Tomodachi Life that's how much of a hold it's had
The tools have some amount of depth and involvement to them, but at the same time the game automates playing without them in such a clever way, so you never run into the NH issue of "Your island NEEDS to be a project in order for you to have fun"
I'm not getting the comparison of Living the Dream having a New Horizons problem (More customisation at the cost of inferior sim gameplay), because while there's some absent returning features, the life sim aspect has more variety and the creation tools are extremely optional.
Speaking realistically, nobody is saying "If you don't know this medium 100% you're dead to me" but if they're giving you attitude, there's a good chance it's because you've been aggressively adamant about only knowing 10% at all times with no further desire.
I feel like the primary cause of "elitism discourse" in fandom spaces is people taking so much pride in what they don't yet know that they present that lack of knowledge as a universal experience in order to provoke others for no reason.
The idea of people on Twitter having seamless internet slap fights about things as delicate as cultural divides with Grok as the intermediary sounds terrifying.
You can barely see it on cam but I'm back to the monthly ourple

I always go back and forth on this developmental period I'm on being a smidge later in life than the average person, but at the same time, it feels wonderful to do all this with this amount of wisdom and confidence in my sense of self.
Between uni and singing, I've been feeling this burst of ambition recently that I really wanna ride out when I finish this last round of assignments and go on my summer break.
I was thinking of picking Welsh back up again and maybe taking some workshops on music or acting.

Only found this out when booting SEKAI a little bit ago but I think the Brazilian government banned gacha for minors, even free pulls.
Either that or the response amounts to the equivalent of your parents going "Well that's life" when you tell them about a poor societal norm that can be very easily changed.
Nintendo's extremely British localisation of their games is extremely charming y'all are just mean
On this day, 10 years ago, 'Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X' released in Japan on PlayStation Vita.
To this day, it is still the latest (and presumably last) entry in the mainline Project DIVA series.
I could definitely see it as a means to restore investment if the repetition of Custom proves too much, which is great, I feel like I'm really tapping into how to best utilise the game within my routine.
Interesting development with Ringfit is I eventually halted my Adventure playthrough in favour of just playing a Custom routine for 30 minutes.
The Adventure mode's great for getting into the game but the pacing does make you eventually check out.
Everyone is imperfect and everyone forms attachments to that which is imperfect, so the most healthy outlook more often than not is to not throw out as much imperfection as possible, but to just stop wearing it on your sleeve.
There is a valuable conversation to be had about mindful consumption that doesn't support terrible people and giving cultural space to works that lose the privilege of recognition, but the internet makes it easy to forget that no one forces you to broadcast everything you absorb.
