God Forbid

God Forbid

It's Metal Black History month! God Forbid was crushing the metal scene from the late 90s until they broke up in 2013. They absolutely blew me away with their album "Gone Forever". They've started playing a few reunion shows recently.

It's Metal Black History Month! William Duvall, vocals and guitar for Alice in Chains, blew everyone away in his first album with the band in "Black Gives Way to Blue". Duvall is widely considered a worthy successor to Layne Staley.

When men rage, they blow and shoot things up and start wars.

When women rage, we create.

We knit, do embroidery and cross stitch. We create new things ... while we figure out how to fix the broken things.

I recently started trying to keep plants alive and I didn't realize that eventually I'd have to punish the plants by hacking off the parts that were growing too well. What kind of sick hobby is this

Let's run a hypothetical;

There is a person who is suffering from extreme depression and anxiety, to the point their mental health is threatened.

This person contacts their health care professionals, e.g. doctors, to help them address the underlying issues.

They are sent through a network of specialists; general physicians, endocrinologists, therapists, psychiatrists, etc... who, in their expert medical opinions, work together to determine the root cause.

These doctors then prescribe the only known effective treatment. A treatment that is so incredibly effective it is recorded as having one of the highest success rates of all known medical treatments for all ailments.

***

And then a bunch of random strangers, using nothing but hate and terrible misconceptions of science as justification, proceed to attack and attempt to outlaw your medical treatment, identity, and life. Screaming that non are valid and you don't deserve to have any of them.

Totally agree with this, and will never forget that so many people are willing to sell out others’ if they think it will make the price of eggs go down. Disgusting.

A Third Woman Died Under Texas’ Abortion Ban. Doctors Are Avoiding D&Cs and Reaching for Riskier Miscarriage Treatments. Thirty-five-year-old Porsha Ngumezi’s case raises questions about how abortion bans are pressuring doctors to avoid standard care even in straightforward miscarriages.

NEW: Porsha Ngumezi is the fifth case we've reported on in which a woman died after not receiving a D&C or its second-trimester equivalent in time, or at all.

Her case raises questions about how abortion bans are pressuring doctors to avoid standard care even in straightforward miscarriages.

It’s so easy to just be like “oh shit, I didn’t think about it that way.“

And then to just stop.

But instead you’re doubling down on why you have, like, a constitutional right to liken the guy you can’t stand to a woman/trans/gay person.

I don’t get doubling down on that when you can just not
