For the majority of them, I cut them out decades ago as well. The only one I had kept minimal contact with was my father. But last January he crossed a line that can never be uncrossed.

There are a few in my family that are not as hardcore as the rest. Like the father of my niece that has dated outside our race isn't racist or cruel towards her children... which was a real concern. He's still cut out of my life, but I'm glad he put that aside for his grandchildren.

Happy to see that my current state, MA, is amongst the darkest red. And I was shocked that my home state (MS) is part of the lightest pink... I figured they'd be in the green.

I've made that same point many times as well. They couldn't fathom we'd ever elect a literal felon or that we'd sit back and allow a con man to rob the country.

What gets me through all of this bullshit is the incredible people I've met online. My peeps give me humor, encouragement, hope, support, and acceptance. I would go bonkers, in the bad way, without them.

Our constitution really needs some new amendments, such as: no felony convictions, no stock trading... including their families, no appointments to committees that affect their private lives, no lobbyists, no super PACs, no pay for Congress during government shutdowns... and so many more things.
