I'm glad MANY things haven't made their way to Bluesky, yet. I'm hoping that lasts for a good long while, too. Every site has its toxic spaces but here it feels like we have a containment unit on that stuff. And not nearly as many bots...

I can see that too, and it does happen. We'd see it on Discord all the time. Someone lands and then takes off. But, it wasn't an issue in that community. And also, it does make it seem like...if you become a creator you can't be "one of them" anymore. Many players become creators. Odd Divide.

Reddit can definitely mess with your sense of how things work in some communities. The communities are also incentivized to do that because they don't want you leaving to learn more. It's like blacking out the windows in a casino, for sure.

That's an interesting perspective. I think keeping creators away also makes the ground fertile for their love of AI. It sort of evens the playing field since no one will help AI creators (and they're often inept at promotion) and real creators can help themselves. Thumb on the scale.

From this day in 2021: My nephews were curious about Final Fantasy after seeing a Moogle I drew and I described Chocobos as looking "kind of like Big Bird" so then I had to draw it.
