In forty years as a writer, I've never met a musician with a story as astonishing as Des Lee's.
In 1975, The Miami Showband - 'the Irish Beatles' - were ambushed by a fake army checkpoint. Three members were murdered.
I've interviewed Des for @theguardian.com

A photo taken from behind a drum kit from an elevated angle of a rehearsal room full of equipment. To the left is a tall bassist with a surf green mustang bass. In the middle is a small guitarist behind a microphone. To the right is another guitarist dressed in black.
The drummer took the picture.
Hence no drummer in the picture.
Great way of getting out of being in a picture.
Be the drummer.
Taking a picture.
Look at all the amazing artists who will be performing on our band stage this year! The band stage is at New Steine Gardens and goes from 1pm to 6pm with our mystery guest performer going last. How exciting. Stay tuned for more performer announcements.

Looks great.
After a planned but unwanted four month hiatus...
... we met in the deepest agricultural Sussex countryside and plugged in.
We look forward to being able to make further announcements.
Cheers, 2323
For reasons beyond our control, we have sadly had to set back our first gig and recording dates.
You can still fill your boots with this banger.

Here's a starter pack with every Trans Pride event which is on Bluesky. We know there are 26 organisations in the UK right now!

Please avoid listening to 2323 whilst wearing a Smart Watch.
Excessive fist pumping and furious interpretive dance can trigger the "you have been in a car crash" mode on your Smart Watch which will automatically inform your loved ones you have been involved in a terrible accident.

Was great to be featured on the cult Ceremonial Laptop Radio Show back in February....

Fantastic band.
Thanks for doing the list. You could add us!
Incredible record.
Congratulations to BRIT winners Charli XCX (Bishop's Stortford College, £38,319 per year), AG Cook (King Alfred School, £27,747) and The Last Dinner Party (Bedales, £52,075) for showing that people from ordinary backgrounds can reach the top in pop music, that most egalitarian of art forms.
The last of The Dolls have left us....

And I am an ally. If you are too, let the world know.
It is a belter for sure.
We know not everyone has much money, or even buys physical music. But if everyone who follows us on socials purchased a single £1 download from our Bandcamp then money goes to the bands, and it would finance a new physical release.
