Lost day 98 to a PC crash, so this is when I learned how to use github for more frequent backups! 😅

After that I fixed some remaining issues with item logic & integrated the speed boost into save data.

I've been doing some VFX work for Monsterpatch lately! Here's a few recent ones that I'm proud of.

In order we have:
Explosion, meteor, chomp, and scathe.

The bee level.

The frog level.

🪷 Flower Knight is out! 🪷
a short game where you play as a knight helping forest creatures, from a chonky bee to a grumpy frog!

I’m introducing some Irish language phrases into Dark Crescent, though there’s tweaking to be done with the font file to get the lettering to look as it should. All phrases will be short and followed with an immediate translation.

It does indeed, the moon is a central theme for the game and this is the first shrine you will encounter. In terms of lore, it’s the main Godhead of the world, its shrine being the first stage of the adventure. I’m using spiritual alchemy as a reference for the shrines.

Integrated menu and inventory states into the save data. Still need to add room states and other details, but the finish line for this sprint is coming into view!

I might get hate but if your goal is to just become a freelance pixel artist, you don't need to listen to Gary Vaynerchuk or Adam Duff.

You don't need to hustle & draw & post art everyday for 10 years. Just create 10 great portfolio art pieces and look for job posts on game dev sites and apply.
