I think the real problem is that these platforms are innately terrible spaces to share and experience art. So any incremental changes in image size or placement feel wholly inadequate. Just sucks we're forced to use it to have anyone see our art at all.

Most people online talking about masks are disabled/chronically ill. The reason you dont see them out is because they were excised from public life when mask mandates dropped. Theyre either too sick or its not safe for them in public spaces anymore. (And LongCovid is disabling more people every day)

And then a few years ago when Instagram decided to be TikTok, every artist who spent years cultivating an audience suddenly didn't just have to post art every day, but now had to post VIDEOS every day or no one would see their work. An algorithm change can break your career.

Second & just as important, fuck this headline. Lindsey didn’t accuse Cuomo of harassment. Cuomo harassed Lindsey. Period. She is not an accusor. She is a survivor-advocate. Show some respect. Report the truth.

Progressives arent being "blamed." The frustration comes from the fact that progressives care about social justice, labor issues, disability rights and science literacy, yet have a massive blind spot when it comes to the ongoing covid pandemic and how it's impacting literally everyone.
