Absurd that this is how the NYPD is treating a council member protecting a tenant in an active deed theft dispute.
We need answers from the commissioner, and we need

"We're not trying to take away your car, we're not trying to send you to prison, we're just trying to change your behavior so you don't kill people."
Making a few thousand brazenly dangerous drivers obey speed limits is common sense. Unless you're Assembly Speaker.

LOVE this collaboration of @nywfp.bsky.social candidates. Check out (and zoom in) on the group photo. 2 things stand out for me. Each candidate is holding someone else’s sign and the incredible diversity of that canvassing crew. @bradlander.bsky.social @yuhline.bsky.social @ryderkessler.bsky.social

We love this city and we love fighting for working families!
Two months until the primary. Come out and volunteer: mobilize.us/landerforcongress
I'm thrilled to be endorsed by @chiosse.bsky.social 💪
Chi shows what true progressive leadership looks like in 2026—from connecting the dots between the housing shortage and landlord power to ending forced broker fees.
I can't wait to collaborate with him as an Assembly Member.
🚨 ENDORSEMENT ALERT 🚨
I am so proud to have earned the endorsement of @32bjseiu.bsky.social, the more than 80,000 essential building workers who are the backbone of this city.
They show up every day to keep our state moving, and they deserve a fighter in Albany who shows up for them.
The lesson of Passover is to welcome the stranger, remembering that we were once strangers in Egypt.
This Pesach, let’s recommit to making New York a place where everyone can be free.
Chag Sameach!
A single vote for Trump in the birthright citizenship case would be as bad as anything the Court has done since Bush v. Gore. This issue has been settled for more than a century. It is the jurisprudential equivalent of asking what 2+2 is. Any answer other than 4, something is deeply, deeply wrong.
🚨 ENDORSEMENT ALERT! 🚨
It’s an honor to be endorsed by the Hotel & Gaming Trades Council 🏨✊
HTC’s 40,000 members make NYC run as the capital of the world—and HTC fights tirelessly to make sure they get what they deserve.
I’m all in on that fight. Let’s get to work.
The marches had no shortage of skeptics. In Oxford, Miss,, Cass Rutledge, a first-year law student at the University of Mississippi, walked through the No Kings protest and around the town square on Saturday and questioned why people thought Mr. Trump was acting like a king. "He is, you know, a duly elected president who won the popular vote and the electoral college in a landslide," Mr. Rutledge said. "And so I'm a little bit confused on how he's acting differently than any other president." He pointed to the stalemate in Congress over the SAVE America Act, the Republican-driven bill to tighten voter identification and registration rules, which Democrats have called an attempt to suppress turnout based on false claims of voting fraud. Mr. Rutledge said that Mr. Trump was "going through the process" to try to get the legislation passed.

The NYT says today’s #NoKings protests had “no shortage of skeptics,” and then quoted exactly one of those skeptics: The chairman of the Ole Miss College Republicans (as of 2025.)
But of course, the Times doesn’t ID him as such. He’s just a Concerned Youth.
THERE’S A BIG HOLE IN MIDTOWN!
By reopening the GPP the Governor can:
✅ build new affordable housing
✅ increase public safety
✅ create a grand new park
➕ so much more
Let’s get this done!
City Council Majority Leader @shaunabreu.bsky.social is a courageous and effective legislator—delivering cleaner, safer streets and more abundant, affordable housing.
He knows the old approaches aren't cutting it, and he's charting a new path forward. I'm honored to have him on our team.
I still can’t believe this is real. Trump is giving a French company $1 billion in our taxpayer funds to scrap their wind farms.
I am thrilled to receive the endorsement of @citizenactionny.org of New York—we both run on grassroots support and want to see New Yorkers thrive.
Let's keep fighting together for affordable housing and healthcare, bold climate action, an end to mass incarceration, and a stronger democracy 💪
🚨 ENDORSEMENT ALERT 🚨
From @sdnycidal.bsky.social to the Council, @justinsanchez17.bsky.social has long been an exemplary public servant.
He knows no task is too small or too big for a leader—from cleaning up the damn streets to fighting for queer liberation.
I’m so grateful for his support ✊🌈
High quality public transit must be a key plank of any affordability agenda.
Americans should have the ability to opt out of car ownership and still get to their jobs, schools, doctors, and friends and families safely and swiftly.
Today, far too few have that freedom.
Billionaires are turning West Village apartments into $75M Frankenmansions.
They're taking housing away from regular New Yorkers and driving everyone's rents sky-high.
Housing should be a human right—not a trophy for the ultra-rich.
Part of Trump’s mass appeal (and of why he’s so dangerous) is that he really seems to share Joe Barstool’s worldview that there are no complex problems: Everything has a simple brute solution, which previous leaders were somehow too stupid or weak to deploy.
🚨ENDORSEMENT ALERT🚨
@bkbpreynoso.bsky.social is on the front lines of the fight for progressive values and lower costs.
He knows what it means to organize neighbors to keep the communities that raised him affordable and accessible for everyone.
I’m deeply grateful for his support.
Very cool!
It's a great night to consider running for office. It's still not too late in some states to get on the ballot for 2026 -- and definitely not too early for 2027 or 2028. runforwhat.net
It’s not the super-rich at risk of leaving NY—it’s you.
That’s why thousands of folks rallied in Albany last week demanding the wealthiest pay their fair share.
Let's stop the fear-mongering and fund childcare, housing, transit, and more—investments that keep *everyone* in NY.
These guys were selling t-shirts until they needed a war to cover up the intentional damage they did to the economy and the president's involvement in a pedophilia scandal.
War is not a morality play.
The relevant question isn’t: Are the targets bad people who have done bad things?
The relevant question is: Will going to war make things better, achieving something that’s worth the death and suffering it causes?
🚨ENDORSEMENT ALERT 🚨
Comptroller @marklevinenyc.bsky.social exemplifies progressive leadership in 2026—fighting for our rights against the MAGA agenda, for more homes and transit, and for working people.
I’m deeply grateful for his leadership, his mentorship, and his endorsement in this race.
Proud to call Ryder a friend — and very proud to support him for Assembly.
That council member was Keith. He led the charge for critical change long before it was cool.
From backing vital shelters to legalizing new homes to building transit infrastructure, Keith has been a true leader.
I can’t wait to join him in Albany 🤝

“We have an impossible task in the city right now, which is to shelter 60,000 homeless people,” he said. “Where would we be if every council member stood up and said, ‘Not in my backyard?’” 2/3
