The government lady tasked with running this whole effort to save humanity is like "We need 26 years to make our plan work, just make earth warmer." and the climatologist is like "It doesn't work that way" and she's like "The hell it doesn't. Humans have been doing global warming for years...

I also don't know why the humor in these books cracks me up so much. There is a scene where a climatologist is breaking down how much time they have until the sun cooling down will effect food production on Earth which will lead to mass starvation and famine. They only have 19 years to work with.

I'm reading Project Hail Mary and it's making me want to re-read The Martian again. I absolutely love getting swept up in Andy Weir's excitement when he writes about space and science. I can't help but giddily jump around in my seat reading these books.
