I did actually consider doing that myself. I agonised for ages, but I decided to commit to Midgard in the end, as it suited the vibe of my Mediaeval imagi-nations world. Would work for Impetus too ๐Ÿ™‚

Definitely another good option, especially since 40mm strips seem fairly standard. The Warmaster influence, presumably.

I agree with this. I'm using 10mm armies on 60mm bases, and they work well. Extra advantage: you can use the Midgard measuring sticks, because they increment just as well for 60mm as 120mm

Must be what Shakespeare meant by "murder most fowl"

Here's my latest Mediaeval battle, in which the chicken argument must have got seriously out of hand

"No longer" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that statement

Reminds me of the Python sketch:

"It's not much of a cheese shop, is it?"
"Finest in the district"
"Explain the logic underlying that conclusion, please"
"Well, it's so clean, sir"
"It's certainly uncontaminated by cheese"

Or, alternatively, let's not do that.

Which must be news to the late crew of the General Belgrano

This is the best and most succinct analysis I've yet seen ๐Ÿ‘

I was pissed off about concomitant. You want "ratatat"? No problem. "Ammo"? Well, it's an abbreviation, but what the hell? How about a nice simple word like "tarn"? No way, sod off! Sigh.

Cheers. That's useful to know ๐Ÿ‘

These look fantastic. Any idea how they compare, sizewise, to Pendraken?

Some Thirty Years War action, involving an unconscionable number of 6mm figures, and using Twilight of the Divine Right rules.

Small Prophets is staggeringly good. Watch it immediately. This has been a public service announcement.

I've never tried that set, but I just looked it up, and may give it a go. I quite like Mortem et Gloriam and am getting into Midgard, but I do like Impetus' subtle combat mechanism, where the more battered you are, the more easily battered you become.

I feel Impetus doesn't get enough love. Definitely my go to set for Ancients.

Interesting. I've been using it on Brave for over a year without any issues. Are you signed into your YouTube account? There are a few things that can persuade YouTube you're a bot, like having it open in multiple tabs. It might just be the session length.

I've ended up using Brave as the default browser on all my devices. These indy browsers are great. Better for privacy, too.

Don't use the YouTube app. Watch it via an indy browser like Brave or DuckDuckGo. All the pop-up ads get automatically blocked and life becomes more pleasant.

I call on my party and my government to remove themselves entirely from X and communicate with the public where they actually participate online and can be protected from such illegality.

Yes it is ๐Ÿ™‚. I've always fancied a Wurttemberg army, but fortunately I'm a 6mm man so at least it's not bankruptcy-level expensive.

Plus this one, if you're feeling expansive. 1809 Danube Campaign I'd peak Napoleonic wargaming IMHO, and Gill's books are the nonpareil of English sources.
