I saved cash by only buying the three that were on my wishlist that hadn't sold out. Ahem.
Get involved @neilclasper.bsky.social ?
Enjoyed my first #rsd2026 experience casbah in #greenwich - missed out on #jazz wishlist Evans, Baker, Coltrane but came away with 3 others from my list @recordstoredayuk.bsky.social #blur #thinlizzy #robertplant
First one for me. Looking forward to it and got my eye on some releases. 🤞
We've spoken to people living near industrial chicken and pig farms who say the smell makes their eyes sting and they gasp for breath.
Thank you to @journojane.bsky.social for covering this vital issue. We need urgent action to stop the expansion of factory farms.
France passed a law requiring solar panels on every parking lot with more than 80 spaces.
Equals 10 nuclear reactors
Reduces heat island, shades cars
The US -- 800 million parking spaces. Most of them are uncovered asphalt sitting in direct sunlight.
Why aren't we doing this?
Food wrapped in food, makes a lot of sense to me. Will simplify recycling, the packaging can go in the same bin as the food.

A year on and I think it was this epic piece @vincerai.bsky.social on one of my faves @thegreengoddesspub.bsky.social that prompted me to subscribe to the glorious @pelliclemag.com

The tragic #panorama #whathappenedtoourboys highlighted trap houses aka bandos. #Communities need to know what they look like and report to authorities.

The UK Government commit to ending CO2 slaughter for pigs.
Around 90% of pigs sent for slaughter in the UK are currently killed using CO2. This involves lowering pigs into a CO2 chamber, where they panic, fight for breath, and eventually suffocate.
Steps to end this cruel method are long overdue.
Does this look "higher welfare" to you? Image of chicken missing feathers and unable to stand up in a factory farm.
Next week we're hosting an event in Parliament called “Animals Farmed: Misinformation and Honest Labelling”.
Alongside our friends at @humaneworlduk and the @AnimallawFDN we'll be calling on MPs to back transparent food labels.
Ask your MP to attend: https://bit.ly/4r5d6wC

This is very sad news. There really hasn’t been anyone else who’s driven the cause of photography here in the way Martin Parr did.

Step inside the world of a caged hen in the UK. With 7 million hens still kept in cages, it's time to fight for their freedom. Their suffering is preventable.
Wood burning stoves are an issue - British homes burn some 2 million tonnes a year, producing more fine particles (pm 2.5) than cars do now - it’s right to do something about it.

Our paper published back in May, 'The Good Society Starts Small', called for the end of the two-child benefit limit.
Baroness Ruth Lister made an inarguable case for it - morally and economically.
We are ecstatic it is being ended.
But this is just the beginning.
A yellow tractor on a London street, driven by a man dressed as Father Christmas. The sign on the front reads 'Farmer Christmas: The Naughty List. Keir Starmer, Rachel Reeves, David Lammy, Diane Abbott, Angela Rayner, the BBC.'
I think at this point if you're including Diane Abbott - a woman who has never held government office, has been a backbencher since 2020, and is scarcely a government ally - on your list of political wrongdoers, we all know exactly what your real concerns are

A new thread documenting this.
