Meow, did this video game grid thing. Some of the categories were a bit difficult for me, so I invented new ones! :3

A lot of the games here could be in the all-time favorite slot, so many games that I cherish!

(atm doing _interesting tests_ in Godot. Played with the FuncGodot plugin and loaded in a level from MeowGun for giggles. Even managed to make it play XM tracks with godot-openmpt! High art, I know.)

By trans game I mean it's a hyper & chunky FPS where you play as a catgirl spouting action movie lines & all the armour pickups are pride flags

Alternate idea for level format. Each tile is a cube that can connect up to 6 others. Ideally the vertices can be moved around to have sloped surfaces and to be able to extrude selected faces to new tiles. Atm the tiles don't share vertices with other tiles, should figure out how to do that #gamedev

Made huge progress today with my tile-based OpenGL/SDL engine project!

There's height and texture variation. Starting to look like a game world.

Also put wasd + mouse movement into the camera.

Experimented with own engine programming with OpenGL and SDL3. Accidentally created this modern art piece.

So far there's a Quake format MDL loaded/rendered/animated.

Then made a tile grid with random colors and texture, though for some reason, it gets the Quakeguy texture too 😅😂

Completely missed this one too, argh! How do people keep track of these events, we've missed a ton of these in the past year. Getting kinda frustrating.

So, a 2tb external ssd I bought was some 160€ about 5 months ago. Now the same model is 370€. I knew it was bad but yikes forever this isn't sustainable.

Visualizing a tile-based engine idea with Blender and how it would draw terrain. Ultimately going to use SDL and OpenGL to make the engine?

It would be possible to move each tile's vertices up and down, and a little bit sideways.

I've set up dual booting to Linux Mint. Got Paint Shop Pro and Sound Forge running with Wine. Need to figure out what to do with Reason, was able to install it, but not run it. I've done most of my music with Reason. Eventually I want to transition 100% to Linux and not use windows at all.

I've been planning to make my own 3d engine, not because it would be easier, but because I want to challenge myself.

Ey yo! We completed MeowGun: Hell Denizen on stream last night, and it absolutely gets the Kaye thumbs up!

It's a real funny, massive heart on its sleeve wearing FPS that's properly for the sickos. In one second, it's making cute dorky references, the next? You're in Go 2 It. Properly excellent.
