Yeah, he's fluent. He taught himself by listening to Spanish music and watching YouTube videos in Spanish. His best friend's first language is Spanish, so that helps too.

My son made all As in his first semester at The University of Texas. In 7 total college semesters (counting the classes he took in high school), he has a 4.0.
