so brown cherries are a tactile switch, little bump in the middle when it actuates and are pretty much as light and smoth as the romer G keys. And the MX keycaps have a ton of options for key caps.

Ah the Romer G switch. Was a great idea just never took off sadly. I have a keyboard with them and love the feel just sadly no support for them. It’s why I still use a cherry mx brown based board.

Oh and by switch type I mean like cherry mx or one of the clones, mantis, topera, ect. Cherry mx and its clones like gateron are the most common.

Just make sure you know exactly what your layout is for the space bar and windows/command key size as those can be different sizes. Also switch type they are for. Other than that find some key caps you will love. I suggest pbt plastic as they have held up really well on my 12 year old keyboard.

I agree contact student support with this. Also data may not be lost. If you can put the ssd in an external enclosure you can likely pull data. I have seen this happen with that error when a ssd starts to go bad so not all hope is lost. And it will sometimes work after a few restarts.

i fully agree with that, a lot of the stuff to get things working is a pain to figure out. Not impossible, but not always the most straight forward. I'm an on and off Linux user myself, mostly using it in VM's for work. For home, same issue you have mentioned drivers to do thinks have me on windows.
