The collapse and devastation of Sudan is designed by the UAE, backed by all the usual suspects.
Sudan’s main incentive in doing so was the removal of it from the U.S. ‘state sponsors of terrorism’ list and it having its debts cleared, which would then give it access to $1bn in annual funding from the World Bank as well as from other international financial institutions. /6
Sudan itself is a signatory to the Abraham Accords, though it never fully normalized with Israel as a result of the civil war breaking out and then the Israeli genocide in Gaza. The deal was never finalized or ratified. /5
Reminder that the Abraham “Peace” Accords were actually not simply normalization treaties but arms agreements. While those deals happened under Trump, the Biden admin has approved massive arms sales to both the UAE & KSA ($5Bn in 2022 for missile defense). /4
The UAE is the main backer of the RSF - including through arms.
Two-thirds of the UAE’s arsenal is bought from the U.S. - with South Korea & Israel also being large suppliers, especially of air defense (missiles).
The UAE is the third top supplier in the region (behind Israel and Turkey). /3
Estimates put numbers slaughtered at upwards of hundreds, into the thousands, over the course of a few days. Satellite images, found by the Yale Humanitarian Research Lab, suggest piles of human bodies in ElFashir and red discoloration of patches of soil, consistent with blood.

Trump’s plan for “emptying” Gaza had headlines and reports using the word “ethnic cleansing” and referencing it as a violation of international law. 145 Democrats called it “morally indefensible”.
None of that for Israel’s actual crimes.
Israel wants to extend the war, not the ceasefire.
It’s campaign of starvation - a war crime - is presented just as a tactic to extend the first phase of the ceasefire.
Israel wants to extend the first phase because the second phase would require it to withdraw its troops from Gaza & end the war.
This act is unequivocally anti-Muslim, it is an intentional desecration of the holy month; it is another iteration of the ethnosupremacy that has been a defining feature of the U.S.-backed Israeli genocide of Palestinians.
At a time when Muslims are already fasting out of spiritual and communal devotion, Israel wants to starve them - there’s almost a humor in it for them.
There is something pathologically cruel—distinctly Israeli, in its calculated brutality—about starving a population that is 99% Muslim on the second day of Ramadan.

We’ve had 16 months straight of IDF soldiers filming themselves and taking photos of themselves wearing Palestinian women’s lingerie, playing and desecrating the bedrooms of children they’ve displaced, stepping on skulls of decomposed Palestinians.. it’s never ending.
