I had this exact same discourse with my neighbors in my previous building. The empty lot next door was being planned to be a housing building. The traffic complaints were endless, and the building is just blocks from the redline in uptown.

Here we go! Opening day!
Built by yours truly and my AI companions!
Iām still suffering from the time change. Why oh why do we still do this nonsense???
Currently reading, āConversations with Friendsā by Sally Rooney. Iām just sad that Iāve read every other book she has written. Now Iāll have to wait for her to write another. Sheās such an amazing writer.

Totally agree. The writing is actually really great but the video game thing wasnāt for me! I saw that this new book is on the way, I might give it a try too.
Unfortunately, Iām not the type for Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman. I see the appeal, but I will not be reading the rest of the series.

Why am I always craving Taco Bell?
New year, new me!
Nothing says Christmas like sleeping in my bed from high school.
Why not go all the way to Evanston? Regardless, I personally think this is too big. I could easily live my entire life inside this boundary with a car and rarely if ever cross the toll boundary.
Iād prefer just turning Lakeshore drive from McCormick Center, to its end on the north side, into a toll road. This seems super logical to me - even as a north side resident myself.
I was either focused on my pace, didnāt want to disrupt your pace or late to kickball!!!
Current status: peak to waning cold symptoms, which means I only have the attention span for TikTok. Please pass a fresh box of Kleenex (ahcoo)
Iāve seen you maybe 3 times myself both when I was also running or biking.
Not me giggling to another Emily Henry book.

Hot take: I donāt love a novel written in excerpts, transcripts or newspaper clippings. Iām currently reading āMurder in the Familyā by Cara Hunter and I cannot keep focus.

Hoping one day Iāll be a star actor in your corporate sexual harassment training videos.
Currently reading Evenings and Weekends by OsĆn McKenna. Loving this great summer read.
Quick Review: As someone at an HFT firm, Flash Boys threw me into the electric early days of speed trading. Lewis unpacks how microseconds became millions, the secrecy and tech wizardry behind it all. Still thrilling and eye-opening years later. #booksky #currentlyreading
Always grim and awkward to report on problems affecting your own news organization.
But our credibility depends partly on covering these issues the same way as any other topic.
Thatās what we tried to do here chicago.suntimes.com/news/2025/05...
This is your regular reminder that executive orders are not royal decrees. Because America has no king.
Iām planning to bring this service to BlueSky here: @isthereacubsga.me

I bet the tanks of gas we all buried underground has gone stale too. Thankfully I drive and electric car now
Iāve been warned that, āwe live in the end timesā my entire life. No thanks to these damn books.
A person relaxing in a hammock holding a copy of the book āHello Beautifulā by Ann Napolitano. The book cover is colorful and features an abstract painted portrait of a womanās face. Stickers on the cover note itās a New York Times Bestseller and an Oprahās Book Club 2023 selection. A blurred tropical background with blue sky and greenery is visible in the distance.
Currently wrapped up in Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano - lush, emotional, and beautifully written. Perfect hammock read. Loving how the story unfolds in my home city of Chicago.

A paperback copy of The Topeka School by Ben Lerner resting on a wooden surface. The cover features a dark stormy sky over a road, with a tornado or dust cloud forming in the distance. The book is labeled as a Pulitzer Prize finalist and one of The New York Times 10 Best Books of the Year. A brown bookmark peeks out from the top of the book.
Currently making my way through The Topeka School by Ben Lerner. Itās a bit of a slog at times, but thereās something intriguing about its writing style, debate, and cultural critique. Not the easiest read, but Iām sticking with it.
