When we fight, we win.

I appreciate WABA and all the people who stood strong for the 15th Street bike lane. A federal judge blocked Trump's attempt to remove it -- and quoted a letter I wrote!

So much false equivalence in media on gerrymandering in Texas vs California & Virginia. California and Virginia maps approved by the voters. That's a huge difference not enough people pointing out

Most DC drivers aren't actually *seeking* our violent deaths. But an uncomfortably large fraction is solidly *indifferent* to our violent deaths.

Love the column guys, great stuff. Why does the headline say USMNT though? Should it say USWNT?

The discourse today has largely missed why Mamdani is a generational talent. He’s authentic but message-disciplined, sharing his vision for the future before delivering it with public excellence.

It’s not just his leftism, it’s his radical optimism + results that raises the ceiling of possibility.

Truly abysmal officiating in this Cavs/Raptors game. Somehow even worse than expected from Brothers. Ridiculous.

Today's ignorant naysayers claim "that'd never work here!" when in fact it once did before it was intentionally dismantled for the benefit of the auto industry.

The fact that Mamdani just seems like a cheerful normal guy who's policies are things like "we're going to tax second homes to fund pothole repairs" or whatever and yet this generates panicked responses like "This is basically Stalin's great purge turned up to eleven" is... telling. It tells things.

Across an expanse of 5 lanes a young woman carting groceries waits in a turning lane to cross the street to her apartment complex.

Bad road design is putting this woman in danger. It’s a third of a mile to the nearest crosswalk and 2/3 mile to the nearest ped signal. A student was hit in this same location a few yrs ago & the police said to the newspaper: “I hope he learned his lesson.”

It may seem paradoxical but a key to accomplishing (1) will be to deflate the psychological importance that Americans attach to their voting decision. Casting a particular ballot in a particular election needs to become understood as a small practical matter, not a titanic moment of self-expression.

in terms of traditional media, i think you’ve got a pretty compelling “How stupid does he think you are?” campaign

Booker? Schiff? Slotkin? Kaine & Warner? Shaheen? Persuasion & protest works!

The 7 Dem Nos: Chuck Schumer & Kirsten Gillibrand (NY), Chris Coons (DE), Richard Blumenthal (CT), John Fetterman (PA), Catherine Cortez-Masto & Jacky Rosen (NV). For those running for reelection, enjoy getting primaried!

Yeah, that's bad. Dumb populism.

Think about it this way: If you had a pot of cash to hand out, who would you send it to? I'm guessing you wouldn't say: “Folks who drive a lot are obviously the neediest; that's who deserves my cash.. Also, I would love to subsidize reliance on foreign oil.”

A thing Peru and California have in common: electoral systems where only the top two candidates advance to a final round, no matter how small their vote share. So now Peruvians get to choose between the daughter of a former dictator and an ultraconservative. Maybe not the best system?
